And a few more to come.
Yes that a common strategy for finish people mention 100 hopeful names and only 1 or 2 deserve it.....the others get deleted like sad dogs.....

Isn't it a bit unfair to wish bad luck for the best driver of the season ??? I mean i don't think there is anybody to believe that he doesn't deserve it.....
I agree, at this stage I really hope Loeb finish and win the title, none deserve it more

Hey just joking ;p
But afterall, come on, he is going to win next 5 championships probably (if not even more....), if he lets Marcus to get this one so Bosse leaves WRC happy, it's good for all I guess :>

Östberg is kicking asses of official Subaru drivers (Pins and Atko). I think that Östberg's old Subaru (isn't it 2004 or 2005?) is better than current one.
It is a 2004 Subaru. ;)

So, now the old N.O.T. is in full speed again. For a moment I thought he´s getting old. To call Markku Alén "Neverbeen" and 98 young Finnish drivers "Sad Dogs" is an insult! I think he has been married with an ugly, mean and bad smelling Finnish woman, because that could explain his comments.

Yes, he drives with a Fabia from Wevers Sport. He did also the German WRC round with this car and some Dutch rallies, with a 3th place in the last round of the Dutch championship. He also won his first event with the Fabia WRC, the 'Vechtdal Rallysprint'. Next year he will drive again this car.

I think in Ford he was even happier than in peugeot - at least the car was absolutely reliable for 1.5 years! In cotrast to Peugeot which either won or broke down. With the Focus Bosse was constantly fighting for wins and even set a record streak of points finishes!

I read him saying in a recent interview that his most favorite car was and will always be the 206 WRC because the pleasure he took with it was incredible and unmatched. he said that the pleasure with the Ford has been different because the handling of the car was different.
And don't forget that 2002 was his absolute perfect season. This year, the car was as reliable as the Ford and even more dominant over the competition.
And 2000 was special because it was his first title and the first full season of the car!

Anyway, both are great champions. The quantity of titles doesn't count. What makes diffrence is that both are just great. Hope, Mikko can continue next year like in GB. He was dominant on last two gravel rallies and also quite stong on asphalt - much stronger than Gronholm in his early ages.

Just got back from sunny Wales. Latvala's problem on stage 6 was broken windsceen wiper mechanism. He had to stop 5 times to clear the screen. Also Wilson had the very same fault just after that stage. Mathew did a big test before this rally with Mikko. Mikko took him as a passanger and vice versa. And it showed. But think about this. Without penalties Jari-Matti would have won the whole rally!!!

yes but in the gravel rallies, they will take many points. The Ford I think is a better car than Citroën with their great suspension.
On tarmac, the Citroen is SLIGHTLY better. On gravel, the Ford is SLIGHTLY better (remember NZ). The two cars are very close to top level.
At the beginning of the seaon, the Citroen was slightly better than the Ford on gravel too but Ford improved the car enough to reverse that from Greece.
The trouble for Citroën could be that Latvala's potentiel is higher than Sordo's. I thought that both potentials were equal or almost equal. After, this rally, I am not so sure. Latvala is better than I thought and I expected a little more from Sordo without the fog.

They behave like they are the only great, while others, who support Gronholm, Solberg, etc. are just idiots who bet on crap drivers. They call Loeb being the status figure, thus saying that the likes of Gronholm and Sainz, who have "just" 2 titles each, aren't masters and status drivers! Well, at least I've seen this on the example of russian Loeb's fans. They position themseleves as |we are clever, others are silly"... Pity to see this. Gronholm's, Solberg's fans don't have such an attitude to Loeb's ones.

I read the final official classification on the official site of the rally
http://www.walesrallygb.com/documents/Final_Official_Classification_After_Leg_3.pdf
and beside the Loeb's name, there is a star saying that there is a subject to the result of a complete engine inspection...
Is there any problem with the legal of Loeb's C4 engine???

Congrats Sebastien and Daniel.
No exuces this time. Marcus' title was lost to an error in Ireland. No bad luck, just a driving mistake which happen in rallying.
Sebastien achievement is something only a few rally drivers can ever get and the records are still left open. He is among the rally legends already
Next year is going to be very interesting. At the start of this season I could have said he would just cruise to to his fifth title. But nmow I'm not so sure anymore. Well, I'm sure he won't be just cruise to the tile.
Hanaa Mikko :D

Standard practice, the FIA inspect after events and as he has won the drivers championship they will have a poke about. I would be gob smacked if something was found.

I was once told that it is miles easier to make a car that performs well on tarmac fast on gravel then the other way around.

It seems to be matter of taste how one spells out the reason for Marcus' lost championship. In one sense Marcus' lost due to his mistake but that is only because he gave so many points away from tarmac. Marcus would have needed at least 2 less dnf' to Seb in order to catch the difference done in asphalt.
