WRC radio is reporting that the GPS tracking showed him at a standstill for a brief period. No reason why.

Thank you, Scrap_Iron.

I must say Guy Wilks and Gareth MacHale are going better and better. Hopefully there will be a fight between Sordo - Latvala and Hirvonen - Solberg later today or tomorrow.

Dani Sordo's time loss a few stages back was because he ran wide on a corner and did some damage to one side of his car. Lost 30 seconds getting sorted out, now back up to full speed again...Keep updated by reading reports on Rallyireland site...

Dam thing, Pozzo needs to finish at least second to keep PWRC title hopes!!

Anyway he is doing much better than expected.
Irish roads are extremely tricky, and Higgins is way more expert here, and in tarmac, so is no surprise he is leading.
Araujo is doing great,. And Pozzo with very little experience in tarmac is surprinsingly right there, Just that is not enough, McShea and Armindo are not that far away, lets see if he can catch at least Nial (who also got experience in Ireland and tarmac)

just came back from stage four, which we drove for fun. really twisty and narrow stage in the beginning. the place where bosse went of indicates that he must have had a lot of speed. the sturdy stonewall and there is still som oil remaints on the tarmac. beatuiful spot, but not from a rally point of view :(
only managed stage three yesterday. some mishaps because of faulty posts and ignorant cops and faulty map-reading, we where defintaly not alone to have this poblems... bit interesting to stand by the stage in the dark, have a seat, and than, when the sun rises, realizing that you are sitting in the middle of some poo from some sheep... :D
well well... a lot of people everywhere, and a lot of signs telling people to keep the race in the race or something like that. so far i think people are worse drivers on the swedish rally thogh.
not as big party as i would expect on the stages. no crazy norwegian fans, and certainly no swedish.. quite humble attitude as a whole.
police are everywhere... never seen so many...
i doubt that loeb will mess up again. guess he'll have his fourth...
we will see

Latvala and Sordo are definitely promising drivers.
Sordo surprised me (once again) in Japan and seems particularly fast in tricky conditions when pushing like this morning or yesterday.
Latvala is learning more quickly than I thought on both surfaces. No doubt Ford will sign him full time for next year.
I really like those two drivers.

I am happy to see Citroen leading. The C4 is so beautiful and the sound of its engine is just great.

As Ford won the Manufacturers' title, I hope Seb will win the Drivers's crown.
Both manufacturers and both Seb and Marcus were just great all year long and one title to each side would be good conclusion.

Very true - Marcus truly is a great - sure Loeb wins more championships but as a charcter and personality Bosse in my opinion is a true champion.

This is because Rallying is a sport of the soul and as such the passionate drivers will always command more respect. Loeb is a machine, very hard to be passionate about a machine.
I see Gronholm in the same vein as McRae, their results were always secondary to the effort they put in their driving.

Look´s like A Mikkelsen is the new hope for Norway.

Togheter with Mads Řstberg, he was actualy offered to drive with SWRT in the S12 next year but is driving it private so that they can do more testing, driving the s10 in Norway though :(

Anders Kjćr is also most probably driving a S10 next year, drove a 307 in Norway.

I do find myself guilty from time to time watching rally through very blue and white glasses. But this time, it wasn't mechanical failure, Timo's error in notes, nothing but Marcus' own very unfortunate driving mistake.

I'm just saying if, I mean IF Marcus should loose the title this year... well, he won't be loosing it to a bad driver. Sebastien has totally deserved it then.

Congrats to Loeb he now has the upper hand but the championship is far from over....GB provides a unique challenge to every crew so everything can happen. If Loeb finishes in GB he is champ....i don't think there are 5 guys faster than him there who can finish a rally like GB on top of him.....I also highly doubt that Gronholm will have the mentality to go there and win without risking.

I'm sad by Armindo Araujo... a crash by acquaplaning almost at the end of the rally... this year as a roockie is being very difficult. Or are the mecanichal failures, or is the car that is desqualified or then is the water on the road near the end :(

Wilks was steady and fast. his knowledge of Irish roads is obvious. He made a huge impression at the right time. I would love to see him again in the World Championship next year and maybe he stands a better chance now.

Meeke failed to make this good impression and I am a little sad about that considering he was close to become a part time works driver with Citroen a few months ago if I am not mistaken (He was (He is?) a Citroen test driver).

Think SS4 was offically stopped due to Gronholm's accident although it may have run under a yellow for a while during which Meeke and Boland had their accidents. Pons also had his off (and eventual retirement) on SS4 as well.

Anyone who knows why MG chooses a pretty average driver as Roy White as one of the drivers to develop their MG S2000 ?

Have MSD said anything on future plans for the car in 08 ?

Sorry mate, Roy is no average driver. He has won the GrN section of the ITC in 2003 and finished runner-up in 2002 and 2006.

I was speaking to him this morning and he had a multitude of gremlins strike the car but he is holding onto it for the ITC in 2008!

Home again... Watched popovs mechs having major difficulties on saturday while waiting for Flodin, they did not make in time and there where a lot of stress it seemed...
Flodin had some problems with his gearbox: it tended to get stuck in fifth. they had a new box ready for him, but in the end, the mechs told, they would not change it, just the oil.
Alan ring had some strange hole in his reardiff, which they changed without bigger probs.
The roads where so wet all the time, it was almost as if you wondered what that big light was in the sky when we drove home. "Sun" they call it...

If you watch Meeke's stage times in Wales two years ago you can notice that they were in the same level with Wilks' best gravel stage times during this year. And that was Meeke's first wrc-rally.

As to this rally Meeke told that his car top-speed was 50 miles in hour in ss. 5. Before this problem he was ahead of Wilks.

Wilks drive was in my opinion amazing. Remember he drove an older Subaru, older than Meeke (he himself is 2 years younger than Meeke). He drove it the first time, Meeke has driven several rallies in Subaru this year. Meeke went off on first day, Wilks didn't but drove a perfect rally with no mistakes and amazing speed three days.

I would say Wilks is one of the most promising drivers at the moment (with Kopecky, Aava, Meeke, Andersson, Alén, Sandell, Nikara, Novikov).

Subaru, Ford... a WRC car is a WRC car to these guys. Guy has done 5 WRC rallys this year, and failed to make even an impression on any of them. Even those who finished.... Wilks was off the road on many occasions, Sordo was in a field, Latvala took a fence out, Loeb over shot two times, Hirvonen was off in shakedown. Meeke was unfortunate, he just went off on the wrong place. I think this rally caught alot of people out, as the roads just turned to sh1te, making it hard for anyone to sure their true pace.
