I have made the estimates road by road, trying to figure out how fast a road with a certain kind of character could be. Like a technical road 100 km/h, a very fast road 150 km/h.

Also some estimates were based on Ekström's Rally Vännas onboards with 2s/km increase in pace.

Oh, come on... "be grateful that you can at least watch it", this isn't 2003. Today many motorsport series have better and more extensive free coverage, you can't excuse them just because what they do is still better than 0. What's next, being okay with them having videos in black and white and without audio, because that's still better than nothing?

Its easy to sit at home and complain about things.It's a World Championship not some Village event coverage specially when lots of people are paying for it and many 2nd hand journos are doing better job at it (Dirtfish, eWRC etc)
It's a disgrace that volunteers are keeping rally results website while it should be FIA's interest and their job.
Same goes for the promoter and official WRC website. I hardly ever watch their news or any press releases bcs all the info is here sometimes even months before.
Same goes for the YouTube clips, unless it's a onboard (which they can mess up as we see), the outside shots are better from independent crews like SubaruNorway, Passats De Canto etc.
The series has not been treated well at all.

Why is this a joke?
In one of my test locations for Acropolis last year I had the same issue…
The farmer kindly asked us to do the same thing for the 100-150m the cars were passing in front of his farm on their way to the test stage, I explained it to the crews, and they did it.
I am not an animal expert but the farmer explained to me that some animals get very afraid with noise, they start running uncontrollably and may end up hitting hard in fences, walls, etc… and may injure themselves…

SS1 I estimated to be way too fast, but SS2 only 13 seconds too slow (on a very long stage) and SS3 was only 7 tenths off! So still not completely wrong. Maybe the Umeå stages will also be a bit slower than I thought.

The rally has been interesting to watch, I haven't just been able to join the discussions. I'm surprised about Rovanperä doing so well first on the road. A miserable event for M-Sport so far.

I know it feels weird to focus on a rally with the events going on. But the case of F1 is different, they didn't cancel sporting events because of what's going on currently, they just moved Russian GP to Turkey. WRC has no Russian event that they could move elsewhere, and this logic doesn't mean Rally Sweden should be canceled.

Ott has the ability to win any rally - but what’s the best we can expect from him and the Hyundai this week? I think a podium would be a great result after Monte.

A podium is a must to get his season up and running. He can do this easy, but not sure his Hybrid i20 will be reliable enough, though.
