We talk about it many times. They CAN'T show you that was not captured live or when chased by heli.
They managed to go back and find the Evans roll. The first anyone saw of that was Elfyn after it had happened.

Neuville must be happy to clean the road another day...wouldn't it be more fair to put the rally2 guys first on the road?
What a Black Friday for Finnish rally fans...
Let him be first on the road for a few gravel rallies to see how good it is

Of course. Everybody else is still getting taken to school too. It shouldn't be possible for a guy who retired from full time rally in 2012 to get stage wins in 2018!
Agree...

Neuville back first on the road then today.
He did well the first few stages until SSS, it could have looked better at the end of the day.
I hope he, and also his car, keeps it togheter to get some points out of this rally and maybe also power stage points, we'll see.
Shame because he looked like he wasn't losing too much time, but then came engine and steering troubles. Now he can - and should, without risking - only take it easy and bring it home, there can still be some casualties ahead of him.

I didn´t hate Loeb. You shouldn´t hate. ;)
However thought it was booring, when Loeb won all the time.
But agree. Now it´s big fun finding him aged with speed. No wonder, he tried a lot of motorsports since he left.

Last time Sordo led WRC rally - Catalunya 2016, so 1 year 7 months ago
Last time Loeb won a stage - Monte 2015, 3 years and 2 months ago.
Back to the future.

Anyway for championship the current standings are very good.
Loeb here +Breen in Sweden could convince Citroen to run 3 cars or more rallies and positions of the other drivers make the title fight more even.

The real rally will be today with different start orders. I'm curious how it's going to be between Ogier, Meeke, Tänak, Loeb and Sordo.
START ORDER
1. Neuville
2. Latvala
3. Mikkelsen
4. Ogier
5. Meeke
6. Tänak
7. Loeb
8. Sordo
BEFORE SS11
1. Sordo
2. Loeb +7.2
3. Tänak +11.0 (3.8)
4. Meeke +25.0 (14.0)
5. Ogier +30.2 (5.2)
6. Mikkelsen +31.7 (1.5)

I think the reason I praised WRC+ yesterday was that as it was evening in the UK and I had the rally on TV via Chromecast. Great to watch so much live action, plus stage ends and interviews with managers from the SP. The main stages had no gaps and it made for hours of entertainment. Ok they missed some things but I didnt mind and I thought the picture continuity was good given the remote area. Looking forward to a repeat tonight. :)

However Ogier was fast yesterday so maybe he can indeed do some damage. I'd put my money on Tanak now, but that's because it's amazing to think Loeb could actually win this (which he can) :)

Dont want to start the discussion again, but the start order rules seem to be more punishing than usual this year. Like in Sweden for Ogier, Neuville is being punished again today for losing time on day one opening the road.
Having said that, he did lose time for other reasons too.

I am sure that the irony won't be lost on Dani Sordo. Finally he has a top notch car (arguably the fastest of the current crop) and he has put some distance between himself and the other championship rivals and benefits from good road position for Leg 2. All this and who should pop up in his mirror but his long time win denier Seb Loeb who looks all set to steal another from him.
I think Tanak and Ogier will have a part to play yet. Can't wait to watch the drama unfold later today.

People wont like this, but i still think Tanak should've stayed at Msport for another year. I said it last season at the time and I'll stick by it. He showed he had the pace to fight Seb in the same car (a car that was proven to be the most complete across the whole year), and if he waited till the end of the year he'd have found out Ford were coming back with more support too. Instead he signed for Toyota in July/August....
The €€€€€ would've still been on offer in 2019 with Ford, Citroen, Hyundai and Toyota all having multiple drivers out of contract. Msport Ford was his best bet for the championship win this year

No, doing superrally make's you start behind the rally leader, Latvalla start as second because the starting order was made up before two superspecials last night. He wasn't retired yet.

What a mess it's been for Toyota! So unfortunate!
I'm still very surprised at all you people fearing for Tanak's championship. First because nobody worries for Latvala's championship ( :D) and second because Neuville actually led the championship last year after retiring from the first two rallies of the season. There's plenty of time to make up the lost points.

It's actually surprising how little has changed in Mexico since last year.
Citroen had no technical issues and was fast => Citroen has no issues and is fast
Ford had minor overheating issues and was fast => Ford has no overheating issues and is fast
Hyundai had overheating issues and fuel issues and was medium-fast => Hyundai has fuel issues and powersteering (also multiple times last year) and is fast but seemingly not fastest.
Toyota had brake and engine issues and was slow => Toyota has engine issues and is not fastest.

Except you do hahahahahahahahahahaha :D
Not really. Miserably collected title, due to other teams playing stupid. It's far away from legendary domination of cars like Lancia, Toyota, Subaru, C4, and Mitsu.
Malcolm just got lucky this time.

OK, not bad but a mess like the discussion a while ago in the “news and rumour thread” where subjects which was discussed that would have belonged to another thread.
Like you said the forum doesn't look like it's moderated. With this in mind and given the level your post went to, I think you should 'self moderate' and call it a day mate.
Yeah, this place might not be what it used to be, but there isn't a place for talk like that.

Getting silly again. If Meeke pushes and gets ahead Ogier will settle for second. He does not take crazy risks.
The Ford has been extremely reliable. Especially compared to the big budget teams

only if the whole stage is protected with armco barrier at both sides i would give an order to Meeke to attack.
seriously now, given Meekes past,he has to settle for 2nd.

big decision for Meeke and citroen now what to do.
Imho he has to settle for 2nd.
too early at championship right now to risk, while all contenders except Ogier have problems.
chance to collect points against to Neuville, Latvala,Tanak.
I just hope everyone continues flatout at least until the end of today. Plenty of surprises can still happen.
