Hi guys,

Do you know if this spot is one of Dyfi´s access G?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIIIOnpImDA

We are a few spanish guys going to Wales Rally for the first time. Looking for some spectacular fast corner for saturday stages, unless somebody recommend us some other plan, we were thinking that a classic stage as Dyfi is a must, but we want to be sure of choosing a proper fast corner spot. Any advice is more than welcome.

Thanks.

So looking forward to the weekend.

So looking forward to the weekend.Yeah that's access G. This year the stage is run in the opposite direction to that video. If you walk up the stage a bit (where the cars are coming from in the video), you will get to the right hander where kubica went off a few years ago. Steep banks and good views of the cars there. The bit in this video is where Meeke and Latvala have both nearly crashed in previous years by running wide

Well I'd say a bit of both - if anyone knows these stages it's Elfyn. It's one thing being given the tools, you've still got to be able to use them. What is important now is that he handles the inner excitement - leading home event and setting great times means nothing if he throws it off! However it looks like the wear rate is good too!

So far Tanak and Evans seem to have the best pace, taking road position into consideration I'd say Tanak could be faster over the next couple of days. that's the downside of having it handed to you on a silver plate. most young drivers have to prove them self in lower categories, working their way up and getting experience in silence. they only start driving an r5 car once they've proven to be the fastest in an r2.

but if you want to start with an r5 car and fight the big boys, you must also accept that the stakes are high and that it can be quite humiliating.

That guy here can throw them glowes and he is first time in the car and in WRC event which is by the way far more difficult than their national rallies.

Well, Rovanperä, had few seasons in Latvia behind R2 wheel, and beat Sirmacis and Sesks with not so good car (Citroen C2 R2 vs. P208 R2/Fiesta R2). OK, Latvia's championship ins't as strong as ERC/WRC R2 field but still, his progress was very quick. When he start driving in Latvia he was in middle of field, like he is now in Wales. 4WD was natural step up. Kid has talent, and proved that he can improve quite quick. Yes, he could step down to R2/R3 for WRC events, like some others, but it's a big question if it help him or not.

Dear friend. I know my english is not very good but you should read it more carefully. I stated that it wasn't Andolfi who said that. And they were not "shitting" at the car, just saying that it is more difficult to drive. And that was confirmed by other fellow members of this forum from other nations that actually talk with drivers of their country.

Serderidis picked the WRC Trophy which is exactly the platform which drivers like him shalll pick. In the same time he supports young driver Emil Bergkvist in WRC2 (most likely without that support Bergkvist would not drive at all). There is absolutely nothing wrong in what Serderidis does in WRC.
