its not how i want to call it,its the reality.
Try to understant why somebody is faster/slower,this is the only way to understant the potential and the ''shine''

You're right, I just wanted to say that in this stage Skoda were earning seconds and position in the O/A. It wasn't a judgement about the car or the drivers speed. Next time I won't use the word "shine" :)

Same with me, I believe it's because it is LIVE feed from local TV Production. Rally de Portugal must have invested in broadcasting it themselves, hence so many camera's on stage which is excellent! Notice new graphics? Not in English either so they've taken over this weekend but still properly organized by RBMH production..

Latvala should be ordered to stay calm... nothing to fight for anymore so he should act like the obedient dog he must be... he brought himself into this situation so he should act his role in the team.

Meeke i think will keep his eyes on Mikkelsen and maybe Latvala i doubt he will care about Ogier winning... that is just inevitable.

VW did not give any team orders since they are in the field, even when they should. That would be a right strategy in a team point of view but I don't think they will change their mind now.

I keep getting 'surprised' about the laziness of the photographers haha. They all drove behind each other from some small lake yesterday to take some boring shots there, than drove to the spot with the big rocks today and are probably one their way to the Fafe jump now :D They should rent a bus together!

most of pro photographers have no idea to chose a proper spot, they focus too much on the scenery and less on what the car is going to do at that spot... most of them should just stick to mountain/scenery photos and weddings.

The geometry is totally strange as we discussed in the R5 thread. There was a lot of controversy even in the team itself and I heard some of the members were opposing that just like You now. There is a reason why they did it but I can't say if it's really justified.

At least they did so much testing that hopefully they know it's working. From the first results we can say the car isn't slower than other R5 cars. One has to admit they have balls when they decide to use something which theoretically shouldn't work...

Some craziness spice the competition which is good. Pity the rules doesn't allow more crazy things like with the latest Nissan LMP prototype or six-wheel Tyrrell F1 car :)

I don't understand by the way. Yesterday Ogier was setting amazing time in a bad road position. I expected him to take 5-6 seconds to the other guys in the long one and 2-3 seconds on Fafe...

Great scenario! But personally I would not like to be there. I prefer the loneliness and the wild nature when I spectate a rally. Don't you?

What happened with Meeke to lose so much time and the podium place to Mikkelsen ?

May be. May he has already forgotten how it feels to drive on the clean road:p

Well, the reason why Ogier is not much faster is simple. When he was first on the road, then he had some sweeping effect but not the greatest, because the road was not cleaning much from sand, it was getting rougher. It was also more destructive for soft tyres, so, beeig first on the road, on the sandy surface was less destructive and this was the reason why he was taking time at the end of the stages (his softs were still working by the end of stage, while others were overheating and wearing much more (less sand, more abarasive). Today you didnt see the same effect on the long stage, he was even slower than Jari. Basically he is msart enough to turn disadvantage to his advantage;-)

Because nobody knows which result is correct. One example for now - SS 9 and Eric Camilli - on WRC.com 22:19.9, on official pages 18:30.9 ; so, what is correct?
