Wondering why didn´t they just shorten the special stage but with decision yesterday. Even 2 x 10 km special stage instead of 2 x 27,5km would be "something for competition" but they should do the decision yesterday.

What are You speaking about? The stages are going to be run normally.

I am not hater :D Just thinking about psychological point of view. I am happy the stages will be run normally. Maybe the fire had not so big influence on the special stage. But for example I don´t have so big balls to wait till today morning.

Organising an event in the scale of WRC, you will until the very last minute to make decision to cancel stages, if it's not something necessary to do earlier (in which cases often stages are shortened). Forest fires were evident yesterday evening, but no one knew how exactly they would effect the event this morning. There was time to wait and see and make the decision later for the organisers. As a spectator I would've propably opted for other stage to spectate, but that's completely different thing.

EDIT: New reports coming that forest fire might not be fully in control in the area. Still not 100% sure whether they can run the stage or not.

Because I think Ogier will finally have the reason to moan. Given he will lose more time than today on the Saturday Morning loop (you already pointed out the lines of Al Q and Evans won't help him) I really can't see how he can claw back Latvala's advantage unless he takes insane chances or the standard misfortune befalls JML -He may catch Mikkelsen, so by his own efforts (and they'll have to be titanic) 3rd place is likely. Both Lappi and Tidemand had some technical problems. It's hard to say how much that affected them though (with Lappi definitely more than by one minute lost). Also after I saw the Fabia R5 shakedown videos I'm far from believing that the car setup is right.

This problem Lappi had was only on the first stage, but may be You're right and they have some set-up difficulties yet. We should not judge them too hard on their very first rally with R5 Fabia, on completely unknown rally.

If we aare on excuses you know very well PT had brakeissues on SS6 and cruised on SS7. Btw the most important for them in this rally is to bring the car home and get valuable data for the future and development.

Now Ogier has to show who´s best. And he probably will, but it´ll be challenging for him.

Looks like he won't be able to claw back enough time to get on the podium - Meeke v VW is the big interest!

Tomorrow will tell, he's close enough to make it if he won't lose much today.

Tyre management will tell on SS10/13, let's see who has been clever. Ogier needs to be within 5 seconds of the top 3 to have a realistic chance over 4 short stages on Sunday

Finally Kubica is taking it easy with a problem free rally. Maybe a little slow but it's very good if he sees that finish line without being amongst the rally2 guys.

yes they are fast at these stages, but Nasser has set up problems, and private Kruuda is same fast.Thats not ''shining'' its just ''ok'' for a works team with champion driver.

its not how i want to call it,its the reality.
Try to understant why somebody is faster/slower,this is the only way to understant the potential and the ''shine''

edit nice one!

SAT 10:51 - STAGE NOTES: SS10
Fridão 1, 37.67km. The rally’s longest stage has a tricky opening. It’s wide, fast and flowing but there are plenty of corners among trees which are close to the road. The roads are smooth with a fine layer of gravel on top, but there are also short sections of asphalt and cobbles. It’s easy to imagine this could be a stage in either Sardinia or Australia.
