What is your opinion about new logo for European Rally Championship 2013?

i vote worse because this logo is difficult to understant what is for.Reminds me something an airplane company,not something about motorsport.Also difficult to understant what letters are inside the logo.

ps maybe was better to have 4-5 different logos to vote?

edit i d like also different colors,not only two different shades of blue.

I have to admit it hase some original design ideas, but if I don't read the words below, I wouldn't guess what it does represents :( . It has something from Soviet flag indeed (even a star :) ), something from Airspace/Aircraft old timer logos, and God knows what else (but not a Rally championship). The old logo was boring and too institutional, but this must be reworked imo. That's why voted normal.

I associate it with cycling. The R is like the back, shoulders and arm of the cyclist. C is the head/helmet. The round part of E is the backwheel, the star is the cogwheel.

I must admit I am not much fan of the IRC logo either, but it still was better than this.

So now I had a good look at it... Hard to find anything in it you could recognize... I turned it around all ways. It has nothing to do with rally. But if I put my head on my left shoulder, with A LOT of imagination I came to the conclusion it is can't be anything more or less than a sad logo:

But of course a lot of "work" has been put into this, perhaps 3 meetings to judge the logo and now the people responsible for it have found "the perfect" logo, so I guess, with or without a topic/poll, it's not going to change much. Unless PLuto thinks it's important enough to do something about it? ;)

I guess this one is supposed to be a bouncing ball. But not sure at all.
Not quite as bad as the ERC one, but still.

Liked the IRC logo more. Cool colors, and modern in form. The firm that came up with the new ERC logo, should get sacked, and not any pay for this one!

maybe the creative souls inmthere should come up with an alternative, and help them!!

Well Jarek, I like the blue colors and just like the IRC logo it shows the 3 letters ERC. It has a fresh appearance which I like as well.

There used to be a rally logo, where you could see the nose of a car, which I like a lot too, can't find it right now. But the design is no longer relevant now for modern rallying.

If its a random National Championship Logo, its good, or better: nice. But I think all FIA Championship have their Logo since a very long time, its a trademark in my opinion, so I would prefer the old logo which is used also for all others. IRC was another world, because nothing to do with FIA.

I went with "normal." As a logo itself, it's decent, tying the E and R together and whatnot, but my first thought was 'what is it supposed to be?' That's not good.

I've read that the star "re-enforces the European-centric nature of the championship". Besides the series are going to have a new strapline: "Serious Competition Ahead".
Whoever has approved the logo and the lema has been smoking bad s**t.

I always liked the generic logo from the 90´s used for every FIA championship (with a car silhouette in it). This looks meaningless and cheap.

A bit too "skiish" indeed but I voted normal. Let's see how it looks inserted in TV Coverage, new website (I suppose they will launch a new one similar to the IRC one)... only then I can give my full opinion on this.

For me the colors and shape are wrong... just too mild. And the star is from eursoport logo what is also a sign of eurosport events way of (wrong) thinking about ERC.
