would be nice to see him surrender his ride to Atkinson for the remainder of the 2012 season....

He's only doing three events this year and will be focusing on the GRC/rallycross as his competitive venture - which is a better fit, imo. Does anyone know the plan for Atko? I know he and Ken are good friends and it has come up that they've toyed with the idea of having a team, but I don't even know if atko is confirmed for more events.

Atkinson's main drive for this year is likely to be the MRF (Indian tire company)Rally Team with a Skoda s2000 for the Asia Pacific Rally championship.

Do not think so, even on the longest stage, at Nobre and Ogier speed no problem.
Nobre is being 2,4 sec /km slower than Ogier.
Longest stage today is similar to this one: 23,7km, so some 50 seconds slower in a 3 min difference < no problem unless Ogier step up and Nobre down.

It seems that they are changing the engine mapping during rally. I don’t know how it is in other rallies but in Mexico it is obvious because of different altitudes.
Jari-Matti Latvala 'needed more aggression' in Rally Mexico qualifying - WRC news - AUTOSPORT.com (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/97907)
"There were a couple of things which were wrong this morning," said Latvala. "I went into the stage with the wrong engine map, I screwed up and took the wrong settings. The engine was OK, but it was too soft - I should have been on a more aggressive programme.”

Neuville lost a lot on the last stage, so, it seems that it is purely his inexperience. Used his tires too much and was not enough left for the final stage. I think it will be much worse in the afternoon. Temperature will be even warmer and road will be more abrasive. So, we will see the real differences on the last two stages today.

And even at 95% the Citroens can get problems as well, so it is not over yet. But the big fight on every stage, as we like it might be.
Østberg after adjusting his GB settings might improve his speed as well!

There is almost nothing to see. Hirvonen will not be aloud to beat Loeb. They will have their own rally without pushing too mutch. For sure Neuville (which will be a very good driver in future) will not keep the pace with Ostberg and Tanak. Maybe he will resist to Novikov. Jari Matti and Petter probably will be on 4th and 5th place at the end. So another rally spoiled before the first service park.
