Considering that Petter took 27,6 seconds out of Raikkonen on the 22 kilometre SS16, he should in theory be able to pass Kimi over the 31 kilometre SS17.

Congrats to Ogier and Loeb for a good rally.Congrats to Jari also, seems that his bad days are forgotten. For Mikko i d like to be more brave at power stage and try to measure his speed with the fastest trio.
to much mechanical failures for Ford. That power steering had issues from s2000 fiesta aren t they able to fix it?

Loeb had before RP 37 points and have earned 18+3 points in RP which makes 58. Hirvonen had 46 p before RP and has gained 12 which makes 58 too.
So who will go first in the next rally then? Loeb or Hirvonen?

that could be done by letting the leader to choose his position and after 1 service again to choose his place...

not fair when sweeping...

solved with reversed starting order.

Doon
27th March 2011, 15:22
solved with reversed starting order.

Yep spot on, worked when the top 15 were reversed. Why the hell did the every get rid of that? To spice things up? Well it should be done again in my eyes.

Anyway, that Power Stage was awesome. Ogier is brilliant, he might beat Loebs records one day. Glad the Fords showed pace, and was also encouraging to see the Armindo has pace in 'SP' Mini. Can't wait for Sardina, I think Meekean will be on the pace or not too far behind. Things are looking up for the WRC!.....finally.

Good qestion, but i am sure FIA will come up with some explanation for that. :D

I think Hirvonen will be 1st on the road, because he has positions 1,2 & 4. Loeb has 1,2 & 6. So fourth place is better than sixth...

rp
27th March 2011, 15:37
Power Stage was great and showed once again what is the difference between the works drivers and others plus some tourists. Huge time differences has to say...

Citroen´s speed seems to be better than Ford, but there is no big difference. Hopefully M-Sport can solve Fiesta´s some technical problems and find extra speed. Latvala showed on the Power Stage that he is ready to fight...

Congrats to Ogier !! What a drive!! He stood like a Phoenix from the ashes-he showed his greatness after the ''humiliation'' in the Mexico.
Loeb is still hungry for the first places, he will never give up....
And Ford??? Well, doing what are they used to do from the previus years. Eventually they might win another rally this year, but the couple (trio) Seb 1&2 (Peter) are the main players. And the DS3 seems to be more robust!

What a shame those punctures for the Ford's ruined a really close rally :(

It seems that the Ford's are now on a par with the Citroen's for performance and we can look forward to some great battles ahead.

Even the Citroen fans must want to see this rather than what we've had the last 3 years...

I was watching Day 2 highlights and could notice something: look around minute 9:05. You can see that Ogier's seatbelt if "off" the Hans on the shoulders. That's something that can be really dangerous, in case of an accident the Hans wouldn't work properly and could even make things worse.

If you watch later on, around minute 12:17, I think that something similar is happening with Loeb's seatbelt.

Impressed by Petter Solbergs recovery through day 2 and 3. After SS7 he was 11.15,6 behind the leader. At the finish after SS17 he ended up 10.17,4 behind. So he was the fastest by nearly a minute during those two days, and without his punctures he would have fought for victory.

28th March 2011, 12:03
Yes, petter has been driving very well this year, but he has to do something to his driving style. It must be difficult to change like that after so many years, but i think he just cuts corners too much and he has always done it. These tyres cannot take it, and i think he is breaking them more than others. I hope he sees that, because he could be fighting for wins more than now.

Mikko will be first on the road..
In case of equal points then we go in wins, where Loeb and Hirvonen are equal..
In that case we go to best places, where Seb and Mikko have two second places and then Mikko was fourth in Portugal while Seb was 6th in Sweden.. So Mikko is leading the standings..

Congratulations to Ogier on another fantastic drive,it is also great to see Loeb rattled.I think Latvala is also looking dangerous for the drivers title this year and fancy him for the win in Jordan to back this up.The stages in Portugal are very challenging and i hope the rally gets a long term contract to be in the WRC.

Any way here is my video of the rally:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmHo_mrmYI8
