Congratulations to Loeb on 8 titles in a row !
7 in WRC and the one in JWRC, pretty impressive !
Petter 3rd again, also impressive for a small privat team !
The S2000 fight has again been the closest and most exiting to follow imo !

I've seen Henning some times on tarmac in different rallys (with the Focus, that's true) and he was far from being fast.
To be positive, I just hope it is due to the car being competitive on tarmac and that is transferred to the Fiesta WRC so there is some fight against Citroën next season.

Very nice result....
the greatest of them all....and in the words of Floyd mayweather Senior
"The greatest, not of this time, that time, past time, BUT OF AAALL TIMES...."
very demanding rally...if the organisers were not that stupid with all the delays and the spectators it would be perfect tarmac rally.
i expect Sordo to win spain and Latvala, Solberg, Ogier and Hirvonen to fight for GB.

Agreed, plus he already said why he is fast with the fiesta on tarmac, its because it fits his "go kart" style. if he feels comfortable with the car and can find the limit there is no reason why to be sad because all the other SWRC cant beat henning. However, despite his great result in france, I doubt he could beat Hanninen, Kopecky, Loix or Meeke on a tarmac rally...
Look at the results from France, and apart from Pons (and maybe Prokop), all these guys are, lets face it, rookies so no shame on loosing to a veteran.

Actually if you compare that with 2:37, Solberg seems to brake even less. Maybe he has a very slightly slower speed into the corner though, hard to say.

This is indeed a very big day in the history of whole motorsport!! Seven titels in the row-our grandchildren will talk about this, belive me....Also very important-do not forget on Elena, who is also ''gilty'' for this record!
It is unbelivable, where Seb&Elena find so much motivation after those years??
At the end-looking to next year: I heard, that Loeb fancy very much number 8, what do you think is the meening of this??
Whatever, couple Loeb&Elena are No.1-as N.O.T wrote, forever!! Let's drink to this.

Amazing with 7 titles. The same as Michael Schumacher & Valentino Rossi.
Citroën now has 13 titles (7 drivers' and 6 Manu.) Lancia earned 14 titles (4 drivers' and 10 Manu titles). There's a goal for Citroën next year - they can become the team in WRC history with most titles. Quite impressive despite their short time in WRC.

Well looking the TV-coverage, the amount of spectators and unique roads I must admit this rally was complete success in terms of commercial value and was something new. Also the entry list was completely full. There were 75 slots for WRC and 75 slots for local event and in preliminary list, both were full (last time Corsica was held in 2008 there were only 70 entrants in WRC and that was all).
And the fact that all the stages were late is quite normal in terms of french people. Last year I lived in France for a couple of weeks and I got used to the fact that everybody were late to everywhere :-P The most important thing was that only one stage was canceled. I remember when the Monte Carlo rally was still in WRC... So many stages were canceled all the time.
Comparing the Corsica and this years Rally de France, I must admit that new location managed to shadow the old location already in its first year. There are many ways to improve this rally but it all comes with experience. There is no way Corsica can get back his position in WRC calendar (just my point of view).

I thought it was a little too similar to Rallye Deutschland - have one or the other, but not both. As usual £$£$ talks, and there were loads of fans, so in that respect, it was a success.

67 WRC entries actually, but that's still pretty decent in these days (plus the nationals of course). Spectator numbers were great indeed, though not surprising with local boy Loeb around.

Corsica will be back in revised form next year, the WRC version of recent years was a shadow of it's former self. The Alsace stages were nice, but in my view way too similar to Germany. If Corsica can get it's act together, it would get my preference, but sadly that's probably not what the commercial holders think.
