That is really good news, i will be there to see it, probably it will have the homologation in the middle of the year, no?

They wonder if to use new Auris or Punto since they said Corolla to be too down on power especialy on tarmac. Aris Vovos already run in two rallies in Greece with Procar Grande Punto. Unfortunately at the second one, Paladio Rally in December, he had a serious accident. Vovos fell in coma after he hardly hit a wall and four next crews did not stop at his car, although the codriver El Em was showing them the SOS sign.

Yes, both rallies counting for Greek Tarmac Rally Cup, Kentavros rally and Paladion rally (where he had the very bad accident).
Unfortunately no photos from the last rally because he had the accident only 1 or 1,5 km into the 1st SS of the rally.

This is a smart move from Suzuki !

If/when the new WRC rules stating that a WRC car has to be based on a S2000 car will come intio effect - they will have a big advantage, and a lot of data to work from.

I am impressed, but thinks this has been part of the plan since they got the new thoughts of FIA, just before they finished the new SX4 WRC.

And it will be interessting to see what gearbox solution they are going for, and how their S2000 will match the other ones in speed, and reliability ?

For IRC this is a good day for more reasons:
Monte Carlo confirmed as an IRC event from 2009 !
Rally-Live.com will since loosing WRC, start focusing much more on IRC !

Jan says he probably will enter some czech rallys with old Fabia Kit as in previous season. He also speaks about Martin Prokop being one of the biggest favourites in JWRC 2008 and wishes him reaching some engage in WRC car.

Crazy !!!! After 5 stages(in fact 4, as one was cancelled)this morning gap between Di Cosimo and De Cecco is only +2.8s whereas the 3rd overall is already +24s !!! :eek: :eek:

Both the Grande Punto driver and the 207 driver won two stages since the start of rally ;)

But the two other Grande Punto drivers are more off the pace now :mark:

Tom, everybody in Poland keeps their fingers crossed for snow! Unfortunately, at the moment the weather is not stable. Sometimes it snows, but sometimes it rains. The temperature is too high, between 0 and 2 Centigrades, so the snow melts quickly. On the main page of http://www.rajdmagurski.pl you can see photos from the route that were taken yesterday. You can see there is snow on the roads, but the snow layer is too thin. It is similar to last year, when there was some snow in the higher parts of the roads, but it melted quickly in lower parts.

On my photos from last year, you can see that in some places it almost turned into a tarmac rally:

Koci was testing Pug yesterday and today in Poland. He says that there were some troubles with the car, but everything is fixed now. He is quote confident with the car, yesterday he tested on snow but today there were higher temperatures so he also tried tarmac at some places. He ran 150 kms, next session will be on Thursday also, planned is another 50 kms. He says the 207 is better to drive than Punto, it's also more powerful and has better feedback to setup changes.

There is also written they had to weigh the car up to new limit with 20 kilos of ballast, which sounds to me veeeery strange...

Yes, Jan will compete with rented Punto there. In first calendar, Mexico was in IRC, so they prepared everything to start there.
