Could someone tell me the events that Tomas Hrdinka competed on in P18 WRC. I know he did Sweden 2001 and the Czech national championship of that year - but what events?

Yes, that's true! The reg plate is from a S8. That car destroyed in a fire!

Just found this on the Rally Barbados website

"In terms of WRC machinery, home honour will be defended by Paul Bourne, whose ex-prodrive Subaru Impreza WRC was the first car built to the then-new WRC regulations in 1996 to win an event"

Would it be safe to assume that the car Paul Bourne has in light of what is said above is P3 WRC (97.004) that Piero Liatti used to win the Monte Carlo Rally in 1997?

It is indeed his newly built S9. I have to say it is a fantastic bit of kit as well. He has put a lot of effort into it and his attention to detail in amazing. Will be the best turned out car by far on most events.

The only unusual thing is the colour as it is painted Arran White which I think is a Ford colour and not standard Subaru white (Arran is a bit more creamy colour)

Hey folks

this is a brilliant thread, I have read all 14 pages of it with great interest.

Its real interesting to be able to follow the paths of the different cars, and big credit to lads like Pat Walsh who keep updating the lists.

Im a big fan of P200's and S9's I have been lucky enough to sit in a few. If I win the lottery I would love to but one of each just to put into a garage just to sit and look at!!!

This year I am sitting with Kevin O Kane in W20SRT in the Hankook Irish Forestry Championship. Harper Rally Prep has converted the car to RHD and upgraded to a paddle shift just like the S6 cars had in their works days.

I have also done some rallies with Sean Devine this year in S800WRT his RHD S9, he bought this car through DAM in the UK as a damaged ex Sarrazain First Motorsport car, it was then reshelled by prodrive into a new RHD shell in late 2005/ early 06.

Sean now has HC54WRC and we were 4th o/a in Cavan at the weekend untill power steering failure put us out.

I know W20 is the car Burns crashed over the finish in Finland in 2000, it shows the re shell of the car in the gold book and it was given a new passport number with the new shell (but not a new gold book)

Jack Sleator has bought HT55SRT an S12 in rhd from Prodrive, its Solbregs Portugal car. He took delivery of the car yesterday and will debut it in Munster this weekend.

Niall Maguire has bought Jacks S10 (the ex McNulty car) NT53SRT, expected to use it in Donegal international.

Damian Finneran has hired TM02SRT from DMG sport and will be in Munster also.

Yes and no !!! In short Steve is using X15's plate on his new S9 for the time being. X15 still exists though and is in his workshop. The S9 he is now using is the old shell from PS02 SRT (ex Milner shell) that has been facelifted to S9 spec. The running gear in the S9 is all 100% proper S9 stuff though (not S7 spec bits) and is vitually all new.

He serviced next to us last weeend and it is a very well put together bit of kit I have to say.

Sorry - didn't explain myself properly. PS02 SRT was reshelled into a new shell a couple of years ago by Steve before he sold it. Steve kept the old shell (with no ID) and has since had it repaired and modified to an S9 spec shell. It is this shell that he has used for the basis of his new car

Hi Declan,

P16 WRC was used by Kenneth Eriksson in 1997 on the Safari, Rally Argentina and Rally Indonesia. He retired on the Safari with suspension damage, came 3rd in Argentina and Indonesia.

Was sold to Aris Vovos in 1998 the events I have him down for are the Acropolis 1998 and Elpa Rally Halkidiki 1998. I'm sure he did more events in it but I haven't got any records of them.

Ioannis Papadimitriou used the car in Portugal and Argentina where he came 16th and 18th.

Hugh Dunne used the car on the 2002 Clare Stages Rally where he finished 4th.
Nigel Heath used the car on the 2003 Trackrod Rally Yorkshire where he retired.

The last event that I have the car used on was the 2004 Brook Motorsport Stages where Steve Fleck used it to win the event.

Do you know where the car is now Declan?

DMG used P16 on the Toshiba rally in 2001, Hugh Dunne used it in 02 on the
Eurocables and Cavan Rallies with Mike Gibson co driving and then in Punchestown Rally masters, Tipp Stonethrowers and Clare with Derek Brannigan co driving. In Clare they were 4th as Noel points out but they lost time stopping to give fire extinguishers to Mick Barrable who had W20SRT at the time.

Was Brendan O Connor in T12SRT at the Dogleap rally? He retired after 4 stages with the car jumping out of gear.

Brendan would have been in T19 SRT. Its been over in England before it came to Ireland. I've been trying to find out the original reg of it but its proving difficult. Apparently it is an ex works car.

Maurice Gass was driving W21 SRT the ex Peadar Hurson car
Niall McShea changed his car to a Lancer at the last minute as the Impreza he was going to be driving had engine problems I think. For the record it was to be Seamus Devines car S300 WRT that he was to drive. James Gillen drove an Impreza WRC on the event reg no. P12 *** I'm yet to find out the reg, and Michael McColgan drove T19 SRT its an ex works car but I dont know what it was originally registered as. Any idea???

Martin that raises the issue of who exactly has the original P12 WRC. James Gillen or Bob Ceen over in England? McColgans car is P6 WRC T19 SRT is a different car as it was being used over in England at the same time as P6 WRC was being used over in Ireland.

X40 SRT has the chassis number 01.014 as i have its gold book (F.I.A. passport) I think it was re-shelled as some stage in it lifetime from X7 SRT. Trying to gather the cars history . I know it was used by Paddy White , Peter lloyd (i think?)& Alexander Lesnikov. Any more info?

History for X40 SRT (X7 SRT)

Richard Burns drove it in Catalunya, Acropolis and New Zealand in 2001. Results were 7th, retired with transmission trouble, 1st.

Eamon Boland bought the car in 2002 and used it on the Circuit of Ireland, Rally of the Lakes, Donegal, Jim Clark, and Cork 20. Results were 3rd, 2nd, 6th, 3rd, 2nd

Paddy White bought the car in 2003 and used it on Donegal, Manx and Ulster (May have done others in it). Results were 15th, 8th, retired.

Don't know where the car went between Paddy White selling it and Charlie Payne buying it in 2005. Charlie used it on the Dukeries and Kall Kwik rallies that year.

I haven't got any information on who the car was sold to and what events it did.

Where is the car now Jack if you don't mind me asking?

PadWRC I've been doing some digging and Sylvain Polo was Number 8 on Rallye du Touquet 1999 and he retired. I haven't been able to find the cause of his retirement though. Mark Champeau retired (unknown cause) on Alsace-Vosges 1999 and was 3rd on Limousin 1999.

Yes and no !!! In short Steve is using X15's plate on his new S9 for the time being. X15 still exists though and is in his workshop. The S9 he is now using is the old shell from PS02 SRT (ex Milner shell) that has been facelifted to S9 spec. The running gear in the S9 is all 100% proper S9 stuff though (not S7 spec bits) and is vitually all new.

He serviced next to us last weeend and it is a very well put together bit of kit I have to say.

Sorry - didn't explain myself properly. PS02 SRT was reshelled into a new shell a couple of years ago by Steve before he sold it. Steve kept the old shell (with no ID) and has since had it repaired and modified to an S9 spec shell. It is this shell that he has used for the basis of his new car

The S9 in the picture is registered PR02 SRT an S8 that was written off by Nasser Al-Attiyah testing for the 2002 Troodos Rally in Cyprus. I think it's a parts bin special built by MSP. I'm sure I saw it on their website a while back now.

Martin do you know the events that Derek McGarrity used the ex P2 WRC P100 ALL car on. I know he used it on the 2000 West Cork Rally and thats it. Do you know who he sold it to.

As far as I remember DMG did Bishopscourt 03 and won the rally in this car in LHD and Nasser may have won Qatar 03 in the car.

Paddy bought the car after that rally, Paddy did Donegal in it as X7 and it was RHD at this stage. On the Manx I think it was X40? or certainly it changed to X40 after the rally which I was told at the time was from a car written off in France? Paddy did the local ALMC rally and Ulster and Cork in the car.

It was upgreaded to S8 spec over the winter and Paddy did Galway and West Cork in it as X40 before it was sold (Paddy got TM02SRT) to the late Tony Davies, he used it on Donegal, Jim Clark (where I think it wouldnt re start in parc ferme for day 2 master switch prob) Manx and Wexford (I think Pat Walsh sat with him for Wexford???? or maybe he was with Tim Wilson?) Tony did Cork 20 in the car before it went to Charlie Payne

Anyway as far as I know Sean Gallagher had done a deal to buy the car in trade for R20 before it was burnt out in an accident on Stonethrowers 05.

From what I remember of P2WRC I think DMG used it in Bishopscourt and then Maurice Gass used it as 00 car in Kilbroney (maybe) before Steve Fleck had it (he started Cork 20 2002 in it) then Noel Redmond, Brian McCluskey and Gerrard Moroney all used P2. I thought it had gone to Martin O Connell in 2005

P100ALL is this the same car??? I have a pic here of DMG in that car in Punchestown rally masters 01

Does anyone know where X23 SRT is now ;)

Martin they are different cars P2 WRC is a re-registered R8 WRC and P100 ALL is what the original P2 WRC was re-registered as. Any chance of posting up the picture of McGarrity at Punchestown?

Last I heard X23 SRT was being used by Joan Olle in the Catalunyan Tarmac Rally Championship.

Thought i'd sign up as you have a very comprehensive list, so thanks to all that contributed.

Neale Dougan is the new owner of S700 WRT, I saw this car at the Scottish Rally 2007. Here are two images if there is a database held at all. All copyrighted by myself.

Hi Chris,

What I know of T10 SRT is as follows:

Chassis Number 98.034, never used by the works team.
Sold to Bert de Jong in 2000 I think.
I don't know its where abouts between 2001 and 2004.
In 2004 Peter Lloyd bought it.
In 2006 John Marshall used it for a couple of events, I don't know if he actually bought it.
Last year the car was used by Martin van Iersel.

Do you know where the car is at present?

Bert de Jong bought this car for Subaru Netherlands in 1998, running El Corte Ingles and Dutch Championship in Michelin colourscheme. In 1999 he did a international variety of events but had a severe crash in INA Rally in Croatia. I think the car was a complete write-off because De Jong bought the T10SRT then (starting with Golden Tulip Rally) and i have never seen the reg again.

Well I think the answer is nobody !! Unless Kenny changed his mind - As of Thursday he was using it it Limerick unless you know differently? He certainly did the event in a WRC which was supposed to be our old one!

North Humberside it is assuming it is ready in time. Theoretically shouldn't have been much to do however .........

Convert to gravel setup - not as easy as you might think as have to:

1. Change rear crossmember from tarmac to gravel one (didn't think of that)
2. Find some S9 gravel clevis's (didn't know S8 ones won't fit!)
3. Fit gravel suspension (easy bit)
4. Realise that S9 doesn't have side cill protection so wait for those to arrive
5. Realise that S9 doesn't have orra flaps so wait for those to arrive as well
6. Try to get our 'fat boy' seats to fit (how easy? - NOT!)
7. Move datalogger as a result of point 6
8. Get it remapped for Sunoco fuel
9. Get it MOT'd as been sat in McKinstry's for over a year
10. Then try to get it taxed not realising that the DVLA in NI is not the same as the DVLA in England and the V5 doesn't work in this country !!!

If only life was easy :dozey: !!!

My apologies, the car kenny used at the weekend is the ex- mike bird car X40 SRT (X7 SRT) and not nicks and mike bird must have bought nicks car and traded in his own , which doesnt make sense as they are bothe s7 spec? unless some one is playing with number plates??

In the main it is Andy Rogers at Morgan Motorsport who looks after it for us. If it is mechanical though then although Andy strips it we have Autosportif do the gearbox and diffs whilst Graham Sweet does the engine.

VERY!!! :eek:

When we ran a group N car for a couple of years they were affordable. We were then convinced that a 98 car (S5) wasn't much more expensive to run so we moved to that. To be fair that was a great car and very reliable (T1 SRT) and it didn't cost that much more to run but the rebuilds are expensive! Since then we have had an S6 and S7.5 and now an S9 and it looks like the newer they are the more expensive they are to run!

As for pre event prep then yes there is lots to do and check, even if you are only doing 1 day rallys. Morgan Motorsport reckon on 45 hours re-prep for each event. I know that sounds a lot (and is) but it is probably a days labour to wash it after a forest event before you start (underguards, wings and bumpers off before you start washing it!).

Hope that helps - are you looking at buying one, or just interested?

Subaru wrc S12 ET55 SRT chrashed this weekend during the ELE rally in holland.driver Mark van Eldik lost controll of the car at high speed during stage 11.after hitting a tree the car immediatly caught fire and is seriously damaged.bought driver and navi are ok.at that moment the team was leading with almost a minute ahead of erik wevers in an 06 focus.

Corsica - Solberg - Retired
Sanremo - Solberg - 9th

Not aware of it doing any other events under that registration

As a Subaru fan myself I had to think a little and look a lot to figure out it is the WRC 01/02 Impreza (right? :confused: ).
It would be even better if you could hide the spoiler which is typicall for the bug-eyed Impreza (thats why I figured it out,otherwise it would be a great dilema between the 97/98/99/01/02 Impreza,and thats a lot of Imprezas :p )

I can tell you that this car is owned by Frederic Romeyer, french rally driver who's got a Peugeot 206 WRC too. He 's run the Rallye Monte Carlo 2007 et 2008 with the 206.

About P7WRC, i know that he wants to sell this car now.

Does anyone where P9 WRC is?, Joost Kustlers from Nederland says in rallycarsforsale web he has a body shell to sell number 98/09, does anyone knows if this number chassis is possible that exist, as long as I know it should be 97.009 and should be welded on the left rear chassis beam. Does anyone knows if the works cars or Prodrive cars has any other V.I.N. number located in other place of the shell?

Hello Subaru fans!

About P7WRC, i know that he wants to sell this car now.

Tha asking price is 120.000 with no gravel kit and very small spares :eek: , car has been re-shell, and looks to have a big hit not well repaired in the front left chassis corner, car has been extensively used in gravel and tarmac rallyes in France run first by Cilti Sport and before by Romeyer who has the car since 6 years ago.
He can deal the price but I don´t think too much if someone is interested go ahead and good luck :)
