I asked a team member in Valais, I think he might have been a relative but not sure; he said Vasily is still recovering but it is expected to take a long time yet, but I forgot if he said it will be a minimum of six months or a year still.
The good news is that he recently left the chair for the first time and has started work with a physiotherapist to stand under his own weight and next will come walking. I told him the rallying community around Europe was hoping for the best for him.aka Rodger Davies

He already said that at Jänner Rallye, he wanted to win ERC2 as a final goal in his career.

I guess after winning the ERC2 title and feeling the smell of success, it must be difficult for Botka to retire
