Hidden in RG1 (issued last week) the following interesting piece of info
'The Shakedown stage will be located at a new venue in Clocaenog Forest'

Then further on in the guide:
    Thursday 13 November
07.00 - 20.30 Rally Office open - Rally HQ, Deeside
    07.00 - 22.00 Media Centre open - Deeside
    08.00 - 18.00 Media Accreditation open - Deeside
    08.00 - 10.00 Shakedown for Priority 1 & 2 drivers - Clocaenog
    10.00 - 12.00 Shakedown for Priority 3 drivers - Clocaenog
12.00 - 14.00 Shakedown for Non Priority drivers - Clocaenog.

So my wish for a relaxed start to the day has gone west. As Cloc is about a further 20 min drive away fom Deeside than Llandegla it looks like this will be a finish work mid day Wednesday, have a sleep at home until 1am on Thurs then drive direct to Cloc in time to make bacon sarnies before taking up position. After the Priority 1&2 session is finished go to Service for the afternoon then take in the start before heading down to Corris for overnighting near Dyfi: Long Day!!!
Kris Meeke got fired -PSG so terrified they quit!

Bloody hell, that's a lot of stages in an around Clocaenog during the weekend. Clocaenog East, Clocaenog Main, Alwen, Brenig and now Shakedown. The Clocaenog complex isn't even that big in comparison to somewhere that could hold 5 separate WRC stages, like Kielder or the Neath/Rhondda Valley. Even the Dyfi, Pantperthog, Garthienog forrest complex

So over the past 5 years we have slowly migrated from the 'South Wales Rally of Great Britain' to the 'Clocaenog Rally of Great Britain'.

I wondered that too when I saw it. I'm guessing it's actually an access road to/from or between stages.

Perhaps, though from the spray it looks like he's going quite a pace!

Looks like the Pikes Peak section of Myherin to me (some of it looks like road as it's the haul road for the wind turbine instalation) However, the caption says best of Day 4 which means Dyfnant, Penllyn or Clocaenog - doesn't look like any of those to me.

It's the access to Penllyn stage by the looks of it to me...
