    TK gone cabbin

JD Gibbs says someone from Kaanan's camp initiated a call, asked if TK could come by shop.

JD said if all Kanaan had to bring was his helmet and his personality "then I'd still be driving."

RACER has an article that says TK has been offered a Nationwide series deal for next year with the chance to move up to Sprint Cup from there. I think it's not a bad move for TK. If he can cut it, he could drive for 10 years or more in the cabs. At his age, time is getting short in his open wheel career and I get a sense he's had enough of trying to get sponsorship to keep going in IndyCar. Thinking about how PT's career ended, I wouldn't want to see that happen to TK.

Update: Tony Kanaan denies deal is done to join Ganassi Racing in IndyCar
Indianapolis 500 winner says he only has offer from current team KV Racing Technology

Indianapolis 500 winner Tony Kanaan said Friday that the only job offer he’s received for the 2014 IndyCar Series season -- verbal or otherwise -- is from KV Racing Technology, his IndyCar team of the past three seasons.

Kanaan made that point in the aftermath of an Associated Press story saying he has all but signed with Ganassi Racing.

The AP story attributed its news to two sources who said Kanaan is leaving KV for Ganassi.

“I do not have a deal,” Kanaan told Autoweek Friday.
