Yet another CMR2 load help thread :(
Okay-loaded onto my laptop-starts and runs fine...
I'm driving on stage. 15 seconds into stage-locks up.
I do ctrl+alt+ del, hit return, and I'm driving again....
15-20 seconds later, locks up again.
Ctrl+alt+del, return and I'm off again...
Happens about two, three more times til I finish the stage, and also happens on the menu screen.
Question-Is the 'patch' a cure-all?
I know positively nothing about having the screen res and game settings jive together. Is this where I should give attention?
By the by-it is windows XP.
I'm excited, beacuse using default setup (0 settings) and keyboarding I'm at 3.00.xx for Sweden 1-not bad!!!
Cheers,

I'm running CMR2 on laptop as well and the biggest problem is battery. You have to drive with full battery and power cord plugged into socket. If the battery is charging or discharging, game will be locks up again.

I have also windows XP and sometimes have some problems!
I advise you to slow down the graphics of the game!
Patch isn't a problem for me at least...
I think you know how you'll do this so waiting for news..speed with no limits..

I find it virtually impossible to drive half-decently unless I'm using the PC/Wheel combination. But certainly the PC version is a step up from the PS1. Enjoy the new experience tannat

13 seconds is not something that is impossble to make up, there's still 130km to go and anyone can get problems of flat tyres. but i agree that setteling for 2nd would be the smart thing to do for...
