I'm surprised there were only 450 cars built of the Peugeot 208 R2. I expected more, it was meant to be a "cheap car" for young drivers after all...

What do You base Your assumption, that it's not much, on? Do You have any comparable numbers for other R2 cars like C2, Fiesta or Adam?

No, sorry, I don't have any comparisons. I just thoght that if the number of Peugeots R2 is lower than the number of combined sales of Skoda R5 and Ford R5 ( 450 < 500 ), then it is not much. After all, Peugeot 208 R2 was designed as a "cheap" car for young drivers, it was widely promoted by Peugeot Sport, local Peugeot dealers around Europe, there were many cup series in various countries and... at the end of the day... just 450 cars after 7 years on sale...

New 208 looks like it is early in the testphase looked like it needs more work on suspension.
Cool engine sound on the 3 cyl.

Look of car is very nice for a R2.

Don't know what have You react on but there are more R5 manufacturers than R2 despite R2 being around for many more years.

    Officially 7

    C2 Max
    Fabia
    Twingo
    208
Fiesta Mk7 (atmosferic 1.6 and then 1.0 Ecoboost in the facelift)
    Fiesta Mk8
    Adam

There was a Polo and a Lada built under same regulations, but I don't think that they had FIA homologation

Yes, 7+ those extras. Also i know some situations, local cups to be more exact, where one has dirven a Fiesta R2....level playfield, in order to get an advantage, changed it for a 208. This applied for the previous generations.
