Instead of blaiming the spectators how about we look at the good examples on the calendar? Portugal has it all figured out when it comes to spectator safety, ofcourse for those watching it makes for a considerably less enjoyable race, but the example is there and it is very simple to copy it. Ofcourse the real truth is when it comes to MC organizers they cant be bothered.

Do you remember the incident with the Clio in that Italian rally in Valle d'Aoste (forgot the name of the rally but it is irrelevant) a few years back?

People stood on an embankment a bit away from the road, nowhere near a corner.

The clio came flying anyway and one girl had to throw herself back not to get the car over her.

Embankments of only one meter are not safe.

It`s not easy to copy, beacuse roads and scenery are different.

at the end, it's still the dumb spectators, who ruined the stage

No one can change voluntary crowd behavior, but one can certainly take appropriate measures to force them to comply.

Yep, that`s what they did. strictly implying that we won`t get any rallying when you don`t follow the orders.

No, it is not. Well ofc, in a way it is, but you don`t need speed when you have slick tyres and snow/ice...and speed isn`t an issue when it`s big on a straight, flat landscape with studded tyres.
