Amen! Fair to say that with the extra power and torque allowed by a bigger restrictor, ’17 cars would be someway far more spectacular. These cars can be a revamp tool for WRC, as they surely have that ‘wow factor’ capable of attracting, again, huge crowds and common media attention to the series.

That’s why FIA must look for the safety concerns of this upgrade. A sort of super license only allowing top WRC drivers to drive the new cars and inflexible spectators control measures are much needed. FIA has to make sure, alongside rally organizers and the promoter, that ’17 reset will be the start of another epic WRC era.
