In my opinion R5 from Hyundai not earlier than mid 2016, but more likely in 2017...

Also never heard news from Proton. I think it was PG Andersson to talk about a development for a R5 car and then Oliver Mellors was on the Coppermines Grizedale Stages Rally in November 2014, on Proton Satria with a turbo-charged Renault engine.

At Rally Argentina in April he said it will be avaliable in 2017, in July it was said that it could be possible already in mid-2016

Probably due to the net echos, Opel Motorsport has denied the autosport.pt scoop and reinforce that the R5 program was postponed. Still, autosport.pt claims their sources revealed that the R5 Corsa project is moving!

So, with Hyundai busy rallying their new WRC car (and developing the 2017 version) and Opel deferring their Corsa project, it seems that there won't be any new R5 car in 2016 (just the Joker Fiesta). Unless Mitsu gives a yes to the swedish Mirage!Rally addict since 1982

Hyundai R5 car will start in 2016. Development of Opel R5 is still in progress, but will not start so early (end of this year).

I think Chris Ingram will be entering WRC Wales Rally GB in a Peugeot 208 T16 R5. On the entry list for the Cambrian Rally (using it as a pre WRC Wales test) he is entered in a Peugeot 208 under the "B14" class so it must be an R5 car.bSo I'm assuming that he will be entered by Peugeot UK or Academy, and maybe WRC 2/ERC campaign next year?

Munster is almost always faster than McErlean, but too many mistakes... He also really doesn't like this Hankook + hybridless car, but I'm afraid it's just not enough after more than 2 full seasons. ...
