So according to French rumours, there will be some kind of Citroën cup inside WRC2, with the winner earning a start in a DS3 WRC on a European event in 2016.

Has anyone heard more about it?

well, he could have fight with Bertelli

FIA should have create some kind of WRC privateer cup. It could attract some teams, and sometimes see young guns starting local round in a WRC car.

I remember last year there were more privateers like Protasov, Kuipers also Jipocar Racing had two entries in France. This privateer cup sounds good idea otherwise gap between works and non-works is only increasing. like LMP1 at WEC (Le Mans Prototypes) were they created a privateer cup, not very successful yet -just two entries- but probably attracting more teams to enter in '15.

Strange rumour...we aren't far from Monte-Carlo 2015 and no official announcement from Citroën yet

Yes, they will do six JWRC rounds (for sure with Citroen DS3 R3T Max).
