Rally Liepaja is very well organized rally and often very nice to follow. There is only one problem. It is held in a very bad place, climatically. But what can you do when the money is there (sponsors), good organizers, better infrastructure are there and more people are there. You just have tope that organizers wont get too much gray hair before the rally due to weather tricks. It seems that some + dgrees are expected in next few days, however, long term prognosis for the region look promising. Hopefully it realizes. However, it is likely there will not me much snow again. But It seems that there will be plenty of ice, frozen gravel and some snow - kind of challange!

Long term prognosis for Sweden look still pretty good. Some snow and cold is expected for the near-future There is already 30-35 cm of snow, measured in nearby stations.

Nice, less snow so a different kind of challenge than Janner. Do you know what kind of tires will be allowed?

Edit: Found it. 15" rims, studs allowed.

Same like on Janner, 15" with studs. But with one really important difference - not with small studs, but with big studs.

From Pirelli website (they updated it a few days ago) they only show SA tires in size 15", but they have small studs only, so the same as used on Janner. Does Pirelli have anything with long studs in size 15" which is not listed there?

For sure they must. They will use same tyres on Rally Sweden.

Thank you guys and sorry for my lack of knowledge, it looks that their main website is quite limited. Could anybody use Sottozero Ice 205/65-15 as well or it is for Sweden only?

You can use any tyre what you want. Only one limit is size of the rim, size of the studs and number of studs. I cannot see any reason why not to use this tyre.
