max no of words
Would anyone else agree that theres a case for limiting the number of words per post? say to 100 or 150. Some contributors clearly enjoy giving their very long winded views on subjects, and its a bit uppity to think that everyone is going to read it through.

jim mcglinchey, you stated it well
When I see a big long-winded post I think to myself :
"now there is someone that is trying to over-compensate for something they are lacking"
Many times I have thought that the number of words should be limited but it isn't a popular opinion.2008 ESPN Stockcar Challenge MSF Champion :D

You just need to keep in mind when making a long post that the number of people who will read it in its entirity is inversely proportional to its length.

I hope you're not referring to my posts there Jim
I'd be absolutely finished if we limited it to, well, anything!"Of course, what many people tend to forget is that Glen Richards was 2nd in the 1993 Australian 125cc championship" - Jack Burnicle on BSB at Snetterton, June 2008

Paragraph separation might help a bit to ease reader reading post which is not straightly related to the previous sentence, if you have to write long posts
