First things first, go to your user CP > Edit options > make sure that your message editor is WYSIWYG

Colours will look like they work as you type in your WYSIWYG editor but won't actually work in reality.

I use a complicated method and it doesn't work if you can't link your pictures over the web.
1. Make a small copy of the picture (the thumbnail)
2. Upload both pictures to your web disk
3. Click -button, insert url of the thumbnail picture
4. Click -button and insert url of the big picture

Now you have two codes, image-code(3) and link-code(4), if you look at the link code, you see the url is there twice.
3) [-IMG]http://www.students.tut.fi/~poutiaij/02.jpg[/IMG]
4) [-URL="http://www.students.tut.fi/~poutiaij/01.jpg"]http://www.students.tut.fi/~poutiaij/01.jpg

5. Replace the latter url (in link code) with the image code.

Now you have linked the big picture and the link's "name" is a thumbnail image.

[-URL="http://www.students.tut.fi/~poutiaij/01.jpg"][-IMG]http://www.students.tut.fi/~poutiaij/02.jpg[/IMG]

Easy as pulling teeth from a bear.

But if you're a lazy git just click - button to attach the pic from you home computer and it does the thumbnailing automatically. :

You can't make a person love another person. You can only pray for it.

Stupid rules => stupid consequences :s
