[FR] Rallye Terre du Vaucluse...
Hi,
Last event of the 2007 french gravel rallies this week-end in the Vaucluse(sourhern France) :
Entrylist:
http://www.rally-news.fr/news/index/2301
As usual without the presence of Cuoq(who already gets the title)battle for the victory will be a hard suspense
Note the presence of Belgian Bernard Munster back in the Subaru Impreza WRC(he drove a GrN this year) and Dutch Mark van Eldik in an identical car
And also Jean-Claude Lavigne in the First-Motorsport Skoda Fabia WRC
Interesting also, Brice Tirabassi for the first time on gravel with the 207 S2000

Hi Eyvind
About Frank Amaudru it's not his first participation on gravel this year, but about Gilles Nantet yes(he only ran tarmac with a BMW and a Porsche until now)

Start SS1 in about 2 hours
Live results will be on http://www.mks2.fr
Note that Bernard Munster won't take part to the rally(he was "forfait" before the scruteneering of the cars)

After 3 stages, "polish champion" Bryan Bouffier is leading the field in front of Brice Tirabassi(stunning debut on gravel with the 207!!)and moto-cross champion Stéphane Chambon...

End of leg 1(after SS6) !!
Crazy debut of Brice Tirabassi on gravel with the 207 S2000 BSA !!!
He's simply leading the field with a 14s advantage over Stéphane Chambon(Mitsubishi Lancer GrA)and Jean-Luc Morel(Toyota Corolla WRC)
We could assist tomorrow(with four stages left to go) to the first overall victory of an S2000 in France

After two stages this morning, fight for the victory provides lots of suspense, as Brice Tirabassi, still leading, has got only a 3.7s advantage over Stéphane Chambon(Mitsubishi Lancer GrA) and 10s over GrN leader Bryan Bouffier(Mitsu Lancer)
So first overall victory for the 207 S2000 in France or not yet ?? :

Final victory goes to Stéphane Chambon thanks to the turbo engine of his Subaru Impreza GrA(and no Mitsu Lancer as written above), more torkey than the engine of Tirabassi's 207...
Final result:
1-Stéphane Chambon(Subaru Impreza GrA)
2-Brice Tirabassi(Peugeot 207 S2000) +11s
3-Bryan Bouffier(Mitsubishi Lancer GrN) +37s

So, just like in Condroz, Monsieur Bouffier wins "real" group N. What's the championship standings now?
