Few extra stages on Sunday (including Turini ) and they only go to Monte Carlo for the podium.

will there be snow stages in turini? i really hope so, rallying is car vs. nature. the fia have toned it down so much that it's boring to watch now. just gravel and more gravel...

they should stop cancelling stages due to snow or rain and let the show go on!

Thats pretty much up to the guy upstairs to decide if it's gona be snow ore not, the area they went to this year just to have a lot of snow in the past but not this year. Never heard of stages being cancelled due to snow ore definetly not rain, you must have confused it with F1

    Cool Real rally.

Rally was born on gravel and belongs on gravel. two asphalts rallys each year are enough, asphalt rallys must be then smal and very technical and no racetrack like in Spain. If you want only speed go then to WTCC ore F1.
I am curious how Ireland will look forward to. This becomes maybe the most intresting asphalt rally in WRC for the future. I know that in many countries it is no longer possible only to have gravel stages, thats why they most have mixed surface. I mean real mixed surface with the same tyres and same suspension. That is real rally, this way it must be..back to the roots. mokin:

Asphalt has got just a big history as gravel BJ. Sure, nowadays gravel is more exciting than asphalt, but blame that on the cars.

Though I agree with you that the real small technical stages are missing in likes as Spain and Corsica (at least what I've seen from footage).

Monte 2008 looks interesting, can't believe they want to skip it for 2009.

Closing date for Entries is 20.12 (thursday)
    Then we will see:
-How many Ford teams, who will drive in them
    -Suzuki drivers
-Is there Subaru or Citroen B-team
    -Private entries

Remember, there will be no JWRC or PWRC in Monte.
