2006 Games Awards Ceremony

I'll pop the cherry of this one.

Hi everyone,
I’ve rented the backroom at Italian Joe’s Pizzaria Bar & Grill.
The walls have been covered with drapes & it looks quite nice here.
They have set me up a table with a nice Smokin’ Joe tablecloth.
There are Winston Cup posters on the vertical support beams with drivers from the 70’s & 80‘s.
Just the NASCAR atmosphere I can get into.

I dined on one of Joe's special pepperoni & sausage pizza with everything, thanks Joe !
I’ve had 4 bottles of Miller Genuine Draft & here comes Mary with a fresh one.
She promises to keep them coming, you’ve got to love a woman that brings you beer.
I invited a few guests but no-one has showed-up yet .....

I’m sitting here in front of the screen again with my tux on.
My hair is combed, my shoes are shined & my tie is straight ….
It is time to pay tribute to this year’s champions.
As in the seasons past, cyber-trophies are issued to the champions
I really don’t know where to start or what order to follow.
I guess I’ll start with the Pick’em Games as they were the first games here.

Craftsman Truck Series Pick’em
MD24 took over sole possesion of the points lead after Race 5 & he never gave it up.
Several attempts were made to take the points lead from MD24 but he proved to be too strong.
Cindy_AL, djarumdudley, harvick#1, MD24 & Sparky1329 each scored 5 wins.

Busch Series Pick’em
It seemed we were trying to catch MD24 the whole season in most of the games.
Thanks to harvick#1 for running this game.
MD24’s 10 wins topped everyone else which left us battling for 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th.

Nextel Cup Series Pick’em
This game had several points leaders until after Race 20.
MD24 took the points lead then & as in the other games held onto it.
BFK9INC & scooby had the most wins with 5 each.
MD24 only scored 3 wins but his consistant top finishes kept him in front.

The Cup Clash
Next we will go to the great game Beth manages, the Cup Clash.
Speedworx had the most wins with a total of 5.
It was a hard fought points battle but again MD24 was victorious.

Busch Series Backmarker 7 Game
harvick#1 ran this game & the saturation of the Buschwackers made it a tough one.
As in the other games so far, MD24’s 10 wins kept anyone from seriously threatening.

Nextel Cup Series Backmarker 7 Game.
It was tightly contested throughout & the championship was won by only 1 point.
djarumdudley got the most wins with a total of 10 wins but he had to settle for 2nd place.
