When was the last......
When was the last time, without an on-track over-taking move, without pit-stops being a factor, after the opening lap and in the dry and without the leaders crashing into each other, did a driver go from 3rd to 1st in one lap?
I'm in a memory-debate with a friend on this. I say it was Alain Prost at the 1987 Belgian GP when Alboreto & Piquet both retired with engine failures in the space of two corners.
He says it was the 1983 European GP at Brands, when Piquet went past Patrese & De Angelis, but I reckon that was because they crashed into each other.
Can anyone either settle this debate or prove that both of us are senile old feckers who can't remember last week?

M-Sport/ Ford have been testing using a 'simulator' in the USA. They say its helped improve the Puma Rally1 car, especially for tarmac. Does anyone know what this simulator could be like ? Story...
