CMR2 Car Select Screen - change car names
Does anyone know how to edit the names of the cars in the car select menu?
I have downloaded the Citroen Xsara and other cars not featured that replace cars in the game and to avoid confusion I'd like to change the names.
Please help!
Thanks!http://www.wrc3f.tk|| CMR2 BRC Yorkshire/McRae Tribute Winner :) ||

I don't think this is possible. May be if you can edit system files or something like that.

It is possible, and fairly easy too!
You'll need the program "BFL Works" - Google for it.
Go to this folder:
Colin McRae Rally 2 > CountrySpecific > Europe
Use BFL Works to extract thís file "englishtext.bfl"
Once that's done you will get these 3 .txt documents:
fenglish.txt
genglish.txt
senglish.txt
These 3 files contains pretty much all text seen in the game, including the car names!
Edit the files, re-pack, and there you go!
Have fun editing!

BFL Works is a Drag-and-drop program, meaning that you drag the file you want to extract onto the program.
once that's done you'll get the extracted contents plus a file with the extention . bwd
To repack, you drag-and-drop the .bwd file onto the BFL Works program, then the extracted files will get packed back into the original file, in this case, the englishtext.bfl file..

Found out how, used BFL Editor or something, used BFL Works to unpack and another to re-pack basically and now I have my *bfl file again so I'll see how it works.
Thanks again for the help.http://www.wrc3f.tk|| CMR2 BRC Yorkshire/McRae Tribute Winner :) ||
