    Quit Targa West

Yes it's almost a year since Brockies death at lat years Targa West.

We are heading back for this years event. The Evo has been overhauled since Queensland and has even had a livery change.

We are aiming for a top 10 this time after a shocking event last year. Looking forward to the very fast roads, also the excellent organisation of the event.

We will be posting updates and photos on my website.

    Cheers

I'll be there taking photos for http://www.circlework.com.au.

My aim on the competition side is to try and have a car ready for next year.

    Best of luck Ray.

Ray, have fun - should be a good event.

Might even get a chance to spectate this year as I am officially not doing anything on the event this time round (last year was not a lot of fun if you know my role on last year's event...).

It looks great, I have been at the historics at Murwillumbah's Speed on Tweed, so I have not been able to follow it more closely. Ray & Graeme have slipped down from 10th on first leg to 14th.

Had a great run, were doing quite well in the wet on Friday, Graeme really knows how to drive in the wet.

We managed to set a few top 10 stage times in the wet but knew that as soon as it dried out we would be struggling as we have less power than some of the more modified cars and the Porsches.

Managed to stay in the top 15 Saturday and Sunday which was our goal for the rally. So very happy overall. Only one major moment for the event which happened on the 2nd last stage when we came into a Right 3 and slid on the oil that Kendalls had just dropped. Went through the drain and managed to recover and miss the trees.

Was a great event with plenty of awesome cars, some being driven quick but others that really needed to be driven quicker. We will be heading abck next year with the new EVO 10.

What happened to Dave and Jenny's car? As I was walking up to position at Racecourse I saw that they'd take a hit on the left hand rear door. Haven't had a chance to speak to them since the event.

I had been thinking about building a X RS, but I've heard some fairly negative things about the new car from a trusted source here in WA so I'm going to stick with a IX RS instead.

Dave and Jenny were hit by Kevin Weeks. They were apparently stopped on the side of the road and pulled out without seeing Kevin.

They blew their engine on the 2nd last stage and we had a bit of an off on their oil. Was a bummer they didn't finish as we were having a good battle.

The rumours that I have heard about the X is that it is no good on gravel but great on tarmac. We should have ours ready by March next year.
