The Lurgan Park Rally 2007

I think the Lurgan Park Rally deserves a mention on this forum. Now in its 28th year, it has attracted some of the best names in rallying. Last year Jimmy & Ally MacRae competed. We've also had Niall McShea, Eugene Donnelly and Mark Higgins. Previous winners include Gwyndaf Evans, six times champion Kenny McKinstry and Kevin Lynch has notched up his fourth consecutive win. The event incorporates a Mark 2 Ford Escort challenge.

I was there. It was a good quality field, shame the weather and then the accident at the end put a big dampener on it though.

I understand that the organisers cut SS8 from the event due to the bad weather. The accident was indeed unfortunate. The marshalls do everything possible to keep the rally safe. I hope we can look forward to next year.

I enjoyed my second trip back there but this year I was part of a team that took the start finish ramp over

The 6R4 was still the best sounding car through the park.
