I popped in the local model shop earlier in search and hope of sourcing some 1/43 display cases, no luck with anything i was after. Anyway i also asked if the chap had any idea of how to produce your own decals, he told me the only way to do it is via a good computor program, and like KILOHMANNS has just said with a very good printer.
No idea what computor program though, something like that would be too technical for me, and to be honest i hate things like that, i dont have the patiance for it, i even hate using word

You'd need Photoshop or Adobe InDesign and very, very good printer.

maybe, im not familiar with that application, you need to be able to control what size the decals print out at. i use photoshop for mine, with the document set at 300dpi, havent perfected the decals yet.
you buy white and clear waterslide decal paper and print on to that using a photo quality inkjet printer, the bit im struggling is the clear varnish spray - you need to use it to stop the ink coming off the paper when you dip them in water to remove the backing paper, but last time the varnish just stopped the backing paper coming off. Going to try again at some point, just got to find the time.
Small white decals are a prob because its impossible to cut out such small areas from the paper - e.g. drivers nameteam156.co.uk

I think that kind of stuff would be too thick, especially for 1:43 models. It might work well for larger scales though.
If you buy white decal paper does this forego the need for a printer that does white ink?
I love building models, especially WRC and tourers, so would be intrigued to find out more!!When will I ever remember to set my video to record the damn races. D\'oh.
