    News about the rallye

    Dear classic car enthusiasts,
our 5th rallye from Trieste to Vienna; took place in end of August and was an enormous success. Two classes as usual - regularity (competition) and race - outlined the athmosphere of the rallye: fast cars, a fight for split-seconds and great evening events throughout the 4-day race.

    6. Classic Rallye Vienna-Triest 20.-23.8.2008

    The Video of 2007: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdVY0krlsoY

We are already planning for 2008; rallye legend Walter Röhrl, who visited us during the event 2007, promised to come and participate in the race class. When the rallye is happening for the 6th consecutive time in 2008, participants can be sure to take part in an unforgettable event. We are looking forward to the 6th classic ralley Vienna –Triest.

As you can se at first sight we changed direction and start again at Vienna. There will be to classes-race (FIA appendix-k) and competition (regularity) class as always.

We are proud that Walter Röhrl the two-time Ralleyworldchampion will compeed in the race class next year. It is going to be again a spectacular event: 4 days- 4 countries- 2 classes and 1 goal.

    Keywords for 2008:

    Race class:
Will be extended and more demanding.
We are looking forward to many new drivers that will compeed in this class.
Race class drivers will get their own road book, a new drivers representative and their own time keeping (transponders and light barriers for the special stages) and there will be at least one big racetrack (Rijeka in Croatia) with split competitor fields(maximum 30 cars in one field).
The mixture:Ralleytracks, 2 racetracks and hillclimbs is going to be scored on total time.
Up to 1981 all classes will be fia sanctionated (appendix-k).
The drivers will be able to enjoy 9 different special stages in 4 countries.
In total: 200 special stage kilometres.

    Competition class:
    Back to the roots!
    Stressless!
Average speed- and timing tests that will be understandable for everybody.
There will be also a new drivers representative in this class.
The Scoring will be demanding and caroriented through light barriers and fixed starting times on fixed starting points.

Start in Vienna. Race special stage in Vienna. Evening reception in a top location.
Track through lower Austria and Styria to Slowenia.
Racetrack will be again Rijeka in Croatia.
    Farewell in Triest…

Stay tuned for updates, details about 2008 and the registration process are going online in mid-november!
