That is also true, but not that much compared to his closest rivals for the rally win. With returned starting order, the difference between the 6th and 8th car is not as much as between the 1st and 3rd for example.

indeed. ogier, rovanpera and even sordo could take away a lot of points from him.

Of course we should. He have more than 120 WRC events behind him, even more rallies, 3 WRC wins (remember that half of the grid have none or less), many titles behind his belt, hands on many different cars... at that stage of his career it's not excuse anymore that he is not good for tarmac. He is working again with FX, so he should be better. Why the hell is Sordo with his age still up there, everytime he is behind the wheel.

I don’t blame him so much for the performance, of course I think he should be better than he is showing, but I do blame him for picking the Hyundai programme over the MSport one. He chose this option, surely he knew that he would be up against it on all the tarmac rallies with road position?
You can say after last year, he may have thought that he was doing the right thing, but when you look at the rallies he has been offered and no seat time, it’s turning turtle very quickly.
The Ford isn’t as good as the Hyundai, but for sure he would have a better chance at some good results by doing all the rallies and having decent road position on gravel.

Now that i think about it. Why doesn't hyndai lets mikkelsen do more rallies as a 4th car so he has a good starting position for croatia? I never quite understood why they limit themself to 3 cars, when they could have 4 or even more to take points away from toyota.

That would only work in Drivers' Championship and I fear that priority for Hyundai is Manufacturers' title.

i guess the question why Mikkelsen doesn´t promt adapt to asphaltrallies in a Rally1 car is a bit more complicated than deciding quality of milk...

I think that if everone agrees, it could be done. Right now it would throw bad light on M-Sport running two cars almost everywhere, although it's no point at all having four cars. The rules allow only 3 nominated drivers to score points for manufacturer championship. At the star of the season, they were clear they are after driver's title and that they will do anything to do it. Even put Tanak or Neuville aside during the season for that.

The point is: don't ask critics to drive Rally1 car before they can say their opinion.

If you say your opinion you have to be sure it doesn´t look ridiculously.

I´d rather seen Ostberg or Loeb quoting that, than some guy not having the whole picture.
