'Any chance to give this one to Elfyn'
'If he pay a lot'.
There you go. Joke or not, these part time drivers end up driving for their win bonuses.... They are genuinely interfering in Championship ambitions here...Last edited by rallyfiend; 21st April 2024 at 08:22.

One thing where new points system makes things more fair is this. Under old scoring system Elfyn would gain a lot more points if Ogier allowed him to win. With new system, difference is just one point for Sunday (and currently Evans is quite low in Sunday times thanks to drama on previous stage). Therefore, Ogier can win without making any meaningful dent on Evans' championship hopes.

Seb would actually have to drop a lot more time than just letting Elfyn by. He'd have to drop behind Andreas too for the Sunday points. I'm assuming Elfyn will overcome Munster during the PS. Probably best strategy is that Seb makes sure he doesn't beat Elfyn in the PS.
I'd agree that this is one unintended good consequence of the new points system. Although I'm still not a fan of it overall.RS Motorsport Media - Follow me on Instagram: rsmotorsportmedia

Think they could have avoided the RS200. It's probably not the same car from 1986, but having a similar spec one doesn't really help the festive atmosphere.
