Crystal ball predictions 2024
Now that the line-ups are almost all known, its time again
5 predictions per person (please exercise some self-discipline in sticking to just 5)
Predictions need to be specific/measurable
Award for most of 5 predictions correct
Honour for the most extreme prediction that turns out to be correct
Deadline is 24th January, the last day to put predictions is the day before Monte starts.#8 Ott Tänak - Martin Järveoja #8

1. First podium for Fourmaux and at least 2 podiums for M-Sport but no one for Munster
2. At least 2 rallies with a Rally2 car in top 5 (ranking at the end of the rally, all days cumulated)
3. Ogier and Sordo retiring at the end of the year (not liking the point system especially for the Frenchman)
4. No podium for Mikkelsen
5. Toyota wins the manufacturer championship

1. New points system won't solve the problem that it is intended to solve.
2. Neuville WDC
3. Solberg will be top 6 in the accumulated WRC1/WRC2 standings
4. Neuville will win Monte Carlo
5. FIA+Promoter will come up with even more dodgy points rules at the end of the season....Funny how ev'rything was roses when we held on to the guns...

1. New points system has fan approval by half way
2. Rally winners (crews) always score highest points
3. Six different rally winners
4. Neuville and Tanak become unmanageable in battle, both ignore team orders/instruction
5. Zero entries in a non-hybrid Rally1Last edited by WRCStan; 4th January 2024 at 16:14. Reason: Changed #5

1. Neuville wins most rallies but not the title.
2. Rally2 cars will win more than 2 stages this year.
3. Toyota wins manu championship again, and Hyundai leaves.
4. Ogier wins Monte, but not more rallies.
5. I write this every year, and so far nothing happened, so let's try the opposite: no new manufacturers will want to join the WRC in the forseeable future.
