So Suninen just 5 rounds in WRC 2 with Hyundai from CHL Sport Auto. Quite poor... Being candidate to Rally1 and end in partly program in WRC 2.

Probably because Hyundai still need to bring the upgrades required to make the i20 competitive. These are still 'coming soon'.

Yes, upgrades are the main reason...

I wouldn't be supprised if he ends up in a rally1 this season again. If mikkelsen doesn't perform better than in monte, he might be replaced.

But would you replace him with Suninen on Tarmac where Mikkelsen is mainly being used? I wouldn’t.

I hope young Will Creighton has a good first Rally2 car drive in Sweden.

His Fiesta Rally2 is probably the nearest thing to an M-Sport entry this season.

Solberg said Sweden was 'his first event with Skoda Motorsport' so it seems he will be serviced by Skoda Motorsport personnel (in a Toksport tent) on his nominated WRC2 events. Footage from service confirmed this and i think this is how it was for Mikelssen last year too.

Afaik Monte was with same team. So more like first "nominated" event. His car was also ran by Skoda Motorsport in 2020.

Anyway, in Sweden he was the only top guy in a Fabia. So kinda hard to say how much car helped.

If Mikkelsen will be performing badly, I would expect Lappi to enter more rallies. He had some podium finishes on tarmac.

And there is also some chance for Solberg to be back in WRC in Hyundai. If Tanak could to that, Solberg can too and he is more promising prospect than Teemu.
