A pity in a way that Paddon had to think of the Championship or there couldve been a fight to the end. But taking 2nd place and 5 PS points and ahead of Sesks was a great result for him.
He was trying to catch Oliver all the weekend, but he has no chance. He slowed down only in last loop as he has seen the situation.

Wevers is still developing things on the Polo. Ingram got thanks to that a boost of 11HP in Ypres.

Was there an anticut or just natural obstacle?

    Great rally and entertaining PS!

Felt like the ‘right’ result to me, Solberg was the quickest, as expected really but Paddon is still damn quick in that i20 on fast gravel roads.

Sesks deserved his third place once he had dialled himself in after a slightly tardy Friday morning. If he can improve his pace on slower gravel roads and tarmac he’ll go far.

Mares a positive surprise for me and Ostberg & Veiby negative.

Paddon's motorsport garage back in NZ services a VW Polo R5. It is likely Paddon has looked under the bonnet to see what makes the Polo R5 go.
