If M-Sport can reach a deal with Loeb, it's time to deploy him. Last on the road has big potential to cut some points out of Tanak's opposition. Albeit, Loeb will never agree to team orders to help the Estonian which may be detrimental to the whole effort.

Looks good for Ogier, he was very fast here usually but hampered by road position.

Yep. If Corsica was the rally of ten thousand corners, Mexico is the rally of ten thousand punctures.

I wonder how much they can adopt the hybrid strategy for it.

On most gravel rallies the hybrid is a bit of an overkill and doesn't seem to have a big effect since they also risk a lot of wheelspin (Sordo was complaining about it last year).

In Mexico with much reduced engine power it might have a bigger effect.

With thin air, comes worse cooling for hybrid.

Good old times, when all cars had some cooling issues on mountain stages.

Cooling (of the hybrid) has not been a issue yet even with very high temps in Portugal and Sardinia.

Toyota even reduced the air scoops cause they had too much cooling.
