    Might be a rally full of surprises with those hard snow walls and narrow roads combined with the relative fragility of rally 1 body parts.

    Yes, I also thought about degraded aerodynamics with all this kissing of snowbanks and effect of this on superfast stages. Maybe sometimes better not to touch snowbanks and have whole car.

    For sure better than SD. Shakedown had much more loose snow and less ice than SS1

    Unless there's loose snow on the surface, starting first is probably the best. Same reason why Tidemand was fastest overall in the Fabia R5 some years ago when he was first on the SSS.
