    Depends on national regulations. Here in the UK the car just needs to be approved by Motorsport UK and meet our technical regulations. The Mirage R5 did the Rally GB National event as it wasn’t homologated so ineligible for the full event (though these days would enter the national class).

    yep, but yaris rally2 is gone not much far from first shakedowns, is still far from an operational car

    Pitty here further north (in Chartreuse area which used to be a Monte classic) it is snowing heavily as we speak and the roads are ... treacherous (=total mess). Would have been fun !

    Similar to what Hyundai were using recently on tarmac rallies.

    I understand it measures the friction of the road surface.

    There are rules like this for a reason, most as it will have been agreed with the land owners who will not want any potential pollution incidents.
