I have been to the rally now since 2015 and public wise i have never seen so few estonian spectators, i guess Rally Estonia is a big factor here and also current situation in the world with war and economics. And not just estonians, didnt see as much other nations also as previous years.

And in contrast, because of Kalle there was probably more Finnish people on the stages than in a long time, especially younger ones, many people who have never been to a rally before.

Really glad that there was some sunlight for Hyundai. I can recall just one stage end interview with Tänak, when he had hands shaking. Never seen this before, and I think it describes well the effort he put into this win. Just awesome!

I compared photos and Suninen's car front bumper has a lot of larger brake cooling holes than other. I really significant thing.

The Red Gray team (which puts the official Hyundai i20 Rally2 on the road) had replaced the original bumper with one that was not homologated already during the tests and was no longer changed in time for the race. The other Hyundai cars the team raced with Hyundai homologated bumpers, so it was a mere mistake.

This, however, represented only a mitigating factor that was not sufficient to avoid disqualification. The team and crew are in any case responsible for checking the car to make it compliant with the dictates of the sporting regulations.

We also remind you that Suninen will have the right to appeal against the decision of the race marshals. If this is the case, he will have to follow the dictates of article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code."

Lappi: “It was pretty much okay [with the goggles on], there wasn’t too many flies luckily. When I saw there were ruts I backed off to make sure no rocks bounced into my face.”
