    Last night we got told we had been dropped down to the National event due to issues with tyres. After me explaining how they meet all the regulations, they have reluctantly let us back in

    Rain forecast for the event. Bring it on! Just about to head to Naivasha for documentation.

    Can’t believe the amount of messing around we are having. Yesterday the Organisers switched us to the national event without telling us, then this morning confirmed all was ok for the WRC, we signed on and got all the documents, stickers etc but they said they had assigned a different car number.

    Now halfway round recce we are told that we’re doing the national event. Even giving an additional receipt for the tyres they’re still not happy and I’ve no idea what’s going to happen now.

    Fuming doesn’t come close…..

    PS anyone that comes out of sleeping warrior without at least one puncture is very very lucky indeed…. Rough as hell.

    There was a WRC2/WRC3 test at Chui Lodge on Sunday. Manufacturers not allowed to test outside Europe.

    Its certainly one of the best views on the rally. Sadly due to the issues we only got a single pass
    We were meant to be 41, then were given 113, but I’m still not sure to be honest, the situation is completely ridiculous.
