Rovanpera did what he had to do, with Finland and Estonia yet to come, he can cruise with no problems and extend his lead.
It makes me smile reading criticism of Neuville for not settling for yet another 5th-6th place or so, as if that would matter for the championship. Nobody driving a Hyundai can seriously challenge for the title this year. And probably not even Evans.
    Impressed by Loubet in 4th.
Evans with a better car is in a lower position than both Hyundais & Breen, just shows you what a dismal season he’s had. It feels as if like once you take away Ogier from the equation, he loses his benchmark and I’m guessing seeing a 21 year old Rovanperä blitzing and having a commanding lead in the championship, isn’t doing him any favours to his confidence. Hope he can bounce back but it seems that for this year, the best thing he can do is try and help Toyota win the manufacturers title.
Only you know your true potential.

I think last year was still strong. Remember Finland?

    If so then.. wtf.
No wonder Hyundai and Neuville won't ever get the title.. He has only been to one team and maybe that is why he can't thinks differently..
Watched the rally and got some hope that they have improved a lot.

Now watched that interview.. and I'm not that optimistic anymore.

I can imagine, how disappointed he actually can be. I remember from some interview, when he was asked for future perspective after winning the title - he said, that he is interested to be part of building new generation car, to be able to build the things like he sees the best.

For that exact reason he made the contract quite early last year. and then... Hyundai basically just blew it up with delaying every kind of decisions to start development, then lack of leadership with Adamo leaving and there is still Neuville's legacy with what they driving. He is master, he can adapt his driving, but it's not something like "being one with the car" effect. He is really good mechanic, he was in important role for building successful car for M-Sport for 2017. And now... Such a waste of talent and waste of time in a way.

From positive side - if they will get it working, it will taste good for sure

edit: one more thing. It was Adamo personally who hired/convinced him to join. They seemed to match quite well, and we know how that developed - Adamo left. Another reason, why he joined, didn't realize or do not exists anymore.

A good days spent in Sardinia, but so tired for the itineraries and the hottest weather we remember.

Very good conclusion and i think face the reality, it is just the way meh said.

Really sad for Tänak, the hard work he made to finally get the drivers title and after that tryed to make good new desicions, but happened disaster.

Little hope was this rally, that showd, he is still able to fight for a win and dominate a rally.

Tänak is smart and he is not going to push and fight for a win if he doesnt feel good in the car, thats why there hasnt been a rally win for over a year, until now...

Lets hope Hyundai will improve ant their car will be good enough to fight for a win.
