    New Tracks in 2021 Season

    Losail International Circuit

The track is 5.380 kilometres (3.343 mi) in length, with a main straight of 1,068 metres (3,504 ft). It is surrounded by artificial grass to stop the sand from encroaching on the track. This track is typically used for motorcycle racing and a home of MotoGP for many years.

    Jeddah Street Circuit

Running to 6.175km with 27 corners, the Jeddah Street Circuit will be the second-longest on the calendar and one of the fastest too, with an average speed of over 250km/h predicted in simulations.

Do you have any feeling who those tracks might favor?

Yes, check out the Six-races-to-go-Whos-going-to-win-which-races thread.

In Qatar, the twisties would favour the Redbulls but they would lose out to the Mercedes on the mile-long straight. Even if they get ahead, they would struggle to keep the Mercedes behind on the straight.

In Jeddah, the Redbulls can win it if they get ahead at the start of the race. It looks like a track that would be difficult to overtake. I expect the Mercedes to take pole at this circuit. If they have a good start, then the Redbulls would not have a chance. But they may be able to steal the win with a great strategy.

The Canadian in me can't help but wonder if the artist that thought it looked remotely like a maple leaf was smoking the same grass as yourself .

No grass, just the imagination of a 6 year old.
