Restart delayed until at least 10.00am as there were at least 20 competitors and others stuck at Langholm in the snow last night. The local pub opened its function room to allow people shelter. Talk of cutting today and heading straight to Wales.

Yep, today has been cancelled due to trees down on the stages etc.

What a horrendous night, hope everyone is ok.

Back home after what ended up being only 1.5 days of rallying up north. No surprise to see it cancelled today. Leaving our B&B back to the main road near Newcastleton area there were 7 trees down in 7.5 miles. Just incredible. The wind was terrifying last night to be honest. Glad we bailed out after doing 3 stages yesterday. That final loop put everyone in the firing line.

I had the possibility of doing Monday's stages in the back of my head but... yeah. That will do me for this year. Hope everyone who was out there gets home or to Wales safely.

Can't wait to see the onboards! I'd already decided to give Bewshaugh 2 a miss and all of Saturday before it got cancelled, having seen the forecast. Thought I was just being soft, but I didn't feel like taking the risk. Funny to think with everything that's happened that we've actually had a lot of sunshine across the last three days, been beautiful during the afternoons, including the drive south. I'm doing Dyfnant tomorrow, probably Crychan 2, too. Both from home.

I haven't seen much of the news/coverage yet, but a belated report from Newcastleton on the first night. Car 5 (Chilman/Walsh) and Car 16 (Hunt/McPhee) had high speed offs, both ended up stuck a long way off the road less than a mile into the first stage. They were unlucky, long straight into a long left hander, but the surface was deceptively slippery, the ice there hadn't entirely thawed during the day. Seemingly got a bit milder as the cloud and sleet came in.

Just wanted to mention Neil Weaver, going really well in the Corsa Kit Car. Looks good on the stages, I can see the attraction of late 90s front wheel drive rallying!
