in situations like this, rallying is not important anymore.
Did the actual Ypres area suffer as well?

No, nothing out of the ordinary around ypres itself.

It's logical for Fourmaux (if he is driving WRC), on tarmac he has good speed already so might as well drive WRC.
If Suninen doesn't drive a single rally on tarmac with WRC he can't show his speed on it though. But so far he is not showing speed on gravel in WRC either and that's a bigger issue.
