    Semi-Official results!

Semi-official as racer69 says above he has finished races, but I've yet to receive his times. He's not answering my PMs (on holiday, I'll bet), but I'll honor his times when he does submit.

RACE 1: Squeaker of a race with less than 1.5 seconds covering the Alfa duo of Vuko/Brown and the Team EGG Vauxhall of Tannat. 4th goes to the MG of BM followed by the factory Vauxhall of Chris Finch...

    1--Peter Vuko--------Alfa Romeo----4:10.65-----1:21.51
    2--Jon Brown---------Alfa Romeo----4:11.03-----1:21.10
    3--Tannat-------------Vauxhall(EGG)-4:12.08-----1:21.54
    4--BM-----------------MG--------------4:25.90-----1:26.44
    5--Chris Finch--------Vauxhall--------4:36.87-----1:29.89

    Race 2 Results

RACE 2: Another thrilling finish at Donington, albeit with the same order.
This team Peter Vuko had a small bit of breathing room (1.33 seconds !!) between himself and teammate Jon Brown, who felt a mild bit of heat from the Vauxhall of Tannat just 34/100ths adrift at the line. The MG of BM and Vauxhall of Chris Finch maintained race 1 finishing order.

    1--Peter Vuko-----Alfa Romeo-----4:10.01-----1:21.35
    2--Jon Brown-----Alfa Romeo------4:11.34-----1:21.12
    3--Tannat---------Vauxhall(EGG)---4:11.68-----1:22.38
    4--BM--------------MG---------------4:30.84-----1:25.59
    5--Chris Finch-----Vauxhall----------4:38.41-----1:29.06

    Race 3 Results

RACE 3:Peter Vuko wins in the wet, with still a small margin between himself and teammate Jon Brown (just over 1.5 seconds). Tannat a bit further back, nearly 5 seconds behind Vuko, with BM and Chris Finch kindly swapping places from the previous 2 races to thwart the monotony!

    1--Peter Vuko-----Alfa Romeo-----4:15.74------1:23.32
    2--Jon Brown------Alfa Romeo------4:17.32-----1:23.58
    3--Tannat---------Vauxhall(EGG)---4:20.56-----1:24.54
    4--Chris Finch------Vauxhall--------4:39.59-----1:31.66
    5--BM--------------MG------------4:45.13------1:32.27

    Driver's and Manufacturer's points later

    Thanks for participating!!

Looking back I have some regrets about this round. We made some mistakes at the esses which cost us about 20 mph in exit speed.

Also, this is the one circuit where I found a benefit for using a manual gearbox (I used the auto for this round).

If anything, hopefully this round will serve notice to the Alfas that their domination is threatened a bit....

I had a faster lap than Vuko in the dry races so I bet I lost the race at the start! I got into scraps with cars going down the craners in both rounds.

    Re BTCC

Very happy but a little surprised with the 3 wins. I was very consistent in all the races. I was much faster in the wet than I expected. J.B looks to have been the fastest car but you need consistency to win these sprints. Merry Xmas to all!!

My excuse for not getting closer to top 3? I did the races very quickly (or slowly in actual fact! ) so hopefully I'll be closer next time - well done guys and Merry Christmas!!

Tannat, can we have the details for the next rounds please?
