Very few people turn ill more than 8–9 days after being exposed to the virus. This is why the quarantine time is set at 10 days.

    Borrowed from a covid site.

i assume we will see more drivers affected by the stupid rules throughout the year. it could perhaps decide the title fight.

Might be some middle-person or might be that there is no connection between any of the 3.
Veiby tested positive 4/5 days after Mikkelsen. Petter Solberg tested positive four days after Veiby. Veiby / Petter Solberg were based with the same team. The link is pretty clear

Following his strong performance in Portugal, Gus Greensmith will be partnered by Stuart Loudon at Rally d'Italia next month, with regular co-driver Chris Patterson unavailable due to personal reasons.

Mikkelsen tested Friday with sympthoms over night before. Veiby Thursday week after (7 days, after getting sympthoms I don't expected they were in contact), Monday before Veiby supposedly tested negative. Solberg was Monday after (4 days).

Also it was reported officially that Veiby's co-driver was only close contact. (typically the definition is closer to 1 meter for more than a few mins).

Another completely possible explanation is that someone at Hyundai who was both on Sicily and Portugal and was without sympthoms and passing tests( they are not 100%) infected all 3. Or that there was a middle person between any of those 2.

As I say, the link is quite clear. Mikkelsen and Veiby were together in Spain after Mikkelsen returned home from Targa Florio. The whole reason the RedGrey team has been put in isolation is because two members tested positive in Portugal. Veiby and Petter Solberg.

Here's my route preview. Difficult to write about the new stages (shakedown, one on Saturday, two on Sunday) but at least the rally is looking challenging enough.
